Weather Report: Soft rain to heavier rain near the end. For fun.

Getting out in the rain wasn't his favorite thing in the world but he would live. Before any of them decided to split up, Ashcloud looked back to the two of them and spoke. "Remember any weird grey, shiny things is a no go. Warn me if you see anything but stay two leaps away from it alright? Let's try to make this quick so we don't need to go to the med den from catching a fever." He said before starting to make his way off from the two. They could follow closely or not, it mattered not. Though he was going to keep an eye on Ashpaw just in case. Imagine.. If that kid got caught then Ashcloud would be convinced that he was cursed and probably shouldn't go out for patrols anymore.

The rain made it hard for the warriors nose to pick up on any herbs so it did take him a good while to find anything. Walking and walking and some more walking it took the warrior till he found the special little plants... The warrior pulled them one by one. He was able to find... Four!

With his prize in tow he walked to a spot he could be easily seen and sat down waiting for his friends, while finding something to protect him from the rain.

Daywhisper followed along, making sure that her apprentice was following. He'd be a warrior any day now, she couldn't wait to find out what warrior name he got.

The large warrior hummed softly as she broke off from the group to find the herbs. She managed to collect 4 bunches of chervil. The first one she'd managed to tatter the leaves beyond use, she'd... probably not tell anyone that.

After that it was pretty smooth sailing, though the last four spots she checked didn't result in anything. She was decently happy with her haul. In one spot she'd managed to find two bunches of the herb. She bounced back toward where she spotted Ashcloud, a smile on her face.

Daywhisper bowed her head in greeting. Her tail swaying gently behind her.

"Hello Ashcloud! wonderful haul" She said, nodding toward his pile. She'd set her own beside her when she'd sat.

Rain. Ashpaw hated that. However, the clan needed those herbs, and he knew it was better to collect them for others than himself being warm and dry in the apprentice den. It would probably help him become a warrior anyways.

Trying to ignore his soaked fur, the apprentice started to separate from the group. He still decided to stick at hearing range of his mentor, just in case something bad happened.

Searching around, Ashpaw stumbled upon some chervil that was near him — it was difficult to catch the smell of that with the rain, but the orange tom still tried to find some nearby with his nose and luckily found a bigger bunch of herbs.

After making sure he didn’t get too far from the two warriors, he searched for a little while without finding anything before smelling a few more. It seemed to make him go a bit further from the warriors, but nothing bad should happen anyways. At least I hope so, he thought for himself. Making sure he knew the direction where they were, Ashpaw quickly went to grab the chervil he had smelled and came back to the last area where they were together.

Seeing Ashcloud and Daywhisper nearby, he passed towards them. “I managed to get a few” he said. “And I didn’t see any grey things” he added for Ashcloud.

The rain had intensified, and it really started to be annoying for the apprentice, as his fur stuck to his skin making walking less easier and less comfortable.
