On a really good stride on here and Barleypaw is really close to getting her post counts finished for her training. If there is anyone who needs a cat to help with anything feel free to VM or pm. I want her to be more active along her clanmates.

Twighlightstar inspected his ears, which Jaggedpaw wasn't quite sure what she was looking for. Cardinalpaw sucked at aim and blows, barely did any damage but of course Jaggedpaw never backed down from a threat even if executed poorly. The leader however didn't seem at all satisfied nor happy with her findings and instead moved back and glared down at him. Jaggedpaw felt the tip of his tail start to twitch back back and forth in an agitated manner and his ears flattened against his skull. Twighlightstar seemed about ready to shout at him now and all he could do was endure it. He felt his fur burning with both embarrassment and maybe shame too. He should have just kept his stupid maw shut and slept instead of doing whatever this had been. As Twighlightstar shouted at him he tried his best to stand still besides his tails constantly flicking and the sudden twitching his eye was doing. He had to clench his jaw and remind himself to actually listen to the words and not the tone because tone is what made him angry and the words are what he was supposed to be listening too.
Jaggedpaw fought the urge to defend himself or reply with snark because this was the leader opposing him! If he disagreed with her or did anything to show disrespect then he'd be no better than those traitorous ‘rebels’ that had been exiled moons ago. Though as Twighlightstar continued to nail her point into his head he felt an itch within his teeth. He ignored it. Jaggedpaw felt shame, something he never felt often- though a part of him still believed cardinalpaw deserved the beating, another part of him realized why he was being reprimanded. He hadn't meant to bite the other tom so hard either, he never bit like that before….that was strange and he regretted that. Why had he done this again? To help gnawingpaw? No not really. He had picked a fight because he had wanted too that was the truth wasn't it? He had been taking out his anger on cardinalpaw because it had felt like a plausible answer which he supposed was definitely not the best move he could have done. In fact it was really stupid of him. He still didn't like cardinalpaw but now he knew better than to pick fights with clanmates. It wasn't professional and clearly it was frowned upon. If something was frowned upon by the leader than he should not do it.
The speckled apprentice shuffled his paws as he thought about it. If he got exiled then that would mean his siblings would have to deal with the loss of him as well as seedpaw. Dad would be devastated! Infact- If dad learnt about this then he'd probably really be disappointed- HE DEFINITELY BE DISAPPOINTED!! That thought alone seemed to scare Jaggedpaw more than anything else. ”I'm sorry, ma’am” The speckled apprentice bowed his head as he apologized. ”I'm sorry I let my…emotions get the better of me and attacked on impulse. I understand that that was wrong of me.” Snowybreeze wouldn't have attacked a clanmate even if they had made fun of him. Jaggedpaw knew his dad was strong so that wouldn't be a display of weakness but a greater kind of strength. That something he would have to learn if he wanted to be a great warrior- a great warrior of Windclan.
He looked pretty agitated, but he wasn't saying anything against her reprimanding. He seemed to be sitting and listening to her words, and she hoped reflecting. Her harsh stare softens a little more as he apologizes for his actions. Twilightstar often wondered if cats actually meant what they were saying or if they were simply saying what she wanted to hear. Jaggedpaw, however, sounded sincere.
"This can't happen again, Jaggedpaw. If you can't learn how to control yourself, you'll have to leave your clan and family behind. Do not let your anger control you." She warns more calmly. "I'm proud of you owning up to your faults, it's something even grown warriors have trouble doing." Her thoughts drifted to Fleetsmoke and other cats who refused to take responsibility for their actions.
"You'll still need a punishment. You'll be staying an extra month in the apprentice den. That means once you finish with your training and take your assessment, you'll have to wait an additional moon before I do your warrior ceremony." His siblings might surpass him depending on their training, but she wanted this lesson to really stick with him. He may be stuck sitting in the nursery watching his siblings earn their names and rank without him. Or maybe they'd sit and wait with him, but that was also guilt-inducing.
"I have to speak with Cardnialpaw, you can return to the apprentice den. It'd be nice if you and Cardinalpaw patched things up with an apology, but I'm not going to force you to give one you don't mean. I'll talk to Cardinalpaw about his attitude and mouth, too. I hope I don't have to deal with this in the future." She dismissed the apprentice with a wave of her tail.
She's nimble enough for this, as clear as pond water. Thornbird was sure Rookpaw would be able to do this well. "Excellent. That was to test if you'd be able to leap on top of an enemy." Unconventional method, but the results are right there.
The scarred enby gestured for Rookpaw to get off the boulder. "Now, last attack for now, if you want to spar after this, then sure."
Ey made a brief pause before continuing. "The last one is the belly rake. If your enemy pins you down, or you pin them down, slice their underelly with unsheathed claws."
Thornbird really had proof of the attack's effectiveness on eir pelt, in the form of long scars. "Understood?" That question, at the same time, was an invitation to spar again, just if Rookpaw wanted to.
Rookpaw ♜ WindClan Kit | 6 moons
Right. Now that she knew the basics, she could get at least somewhere, right? Her patience definitely wears thin most days, but today, she'd learned that patience was the baseline for perfection. If she was going to achieve that standard someday, she should learn how to wait.
The next move was simple enough. Why couldn't she have thought of this when they sparred earlier. No matter. Effort was made despite the fact she was wasting time earlier. Wasting precious time she could be using to train. The dusky lilac apprentice nodded and muttered one word and one word online. "Understood."

Thornbird. Ey/em - WindClan - Warrior.
Patience. A vital virtue that not everyone has. Thornbird's mismatching eyes flickered with pride that Rookpaw seemed to be learning.
The large warrior got into a battle stance, ready to mock-fight against eir apprentice. "Attack," was all ey said, eir eyes watching any nimble movement from the lithe apprentice.
Thornbird would make sure to go easy, but not like a queen would go on the kits. This is training for future battles, for high-stakes situations, not play, even if eir gentle self disagreed.

Rookpaw ♜ WindClan Apprentice | 6 moons
As soon as her mentor said 'Attack,' Rookpaw launched herself forward, zipping, not towards her mentor, but around to his back side. There was no point in attacking the large tom face on. Rookpaw knew her failures from the first round, and she wasn't going to repeat that again. So this time she'd opt for the other moves Thornbird had taught. Leap and hold.
With a leap, the dusky lilac apprentice aimed to land onto her mentor, gripping ey with her paws and attempted to secure a hold by biting down.

Squirrelpaw nodded, beginning to grow excited, despite her anger. Okay! She exclaimed, grinning softly.

The other apprentice seemed to be in higher spirits. Okay. Better this than before- Rookpaw guessed, still feeling a little bit awkward from before. She felt like this was the first time she had to slow down and wait for someone else. A strange itching feeling that she didn't like, but it saved her from having to deal with a crying cat.
The dusky lilac apprentice swiftly pawed Squirrelpaw on the back, before starting to bolt out of the area. "You're it."

Hey! Squirrelpaw exclaimed, giggling. No fair! I wasn't ready! She crowed, chasing after Rookpaw. She was pretty fast, Dreamheart had even said so. Just... Bad endurance. That was it. She began to gain on the other apprentice, a smile spreading across her maw.

Thornbird. Ey/em - WindClan - Warrior.
Those sharp teeth digging through eir thick, wooly coat.
Yes, Thornbird knew that feeling, except that it's not as vicious as the kits in the nursery, nor as vicious as the opponents in actual battles.
Anyway. The rosetted enby planted eir claws on the hard ground and vigorously shook eir whole body, trying to make Rookpaw fall off em.
Eir long, matted fur poofed out in the air as ey did this maneuver, making em look even larger than ey actually is.
