Seabreeze flicked his ears at Adderstrike's response, but otherwise didn't emote beyond the narrowing of his eyes. Maybe he did over react, but how could these cats be so relaxed around something- anything- twoleg related. Cats were catnapped every other day for no reason, you can't trust anything- especially when they were lurking on bordering clans already, who knows when the would try and move in towards them as well. Maybe he should've addressed it calmer, but he still doesn't want anyone near it. He had missed that she caught something, but excuse him when he didn't think he needed to babysit her movements before he caught her scurry away from it.
"I have actually, thanks for checking in." With some looks to the rest of the patrol which all seemed to have at least something, he turned around, "Give me just a second and we'll leave." He said nothing of the plan to
It didn't take him long ( ult. hunter + collectors which gives prey finding boosts ) before the former lionheart had another seagull and fish to carry backc alongside his mouse. Catching the attention of the others he began to lead them back to camp. Guilt settled into his chest as he left the panicked mindset upon addressing the twoleg thing and Adderstrike.. he had acted.. out of place- he should apologize. Not for not letting her mess with the thing but for yelling and threatening punishment so quickly.
[aaa sorry I didn’t see ur post here Mica !! Just going to throw an extra post here *actually* reacting if that’s okay :’) then I’ll stay after Luna in the post order]
”It’s… Not bad.” They put on a forced smile, as Eaglewing asked about their training. It was getting there but, they still hadn’t completed but one lesson in fighting. He wasn’t feeling great about his training, but he didn’t feel like dulling the spirits of the patrol with his woes. As much as the idea of battle training scared them, graduating super late sounded even worse. ”I hope it’s done soon.” Rainpaw’s news was a lot more exciting, though! ”Woa, congrats!” They gave her a light tail flick on the shoulder, truly happy for her (even if a little jealous). Hm. They hadn’t thought about the water being cold, it didn’t distract them from just how much they wanted to go and paddle in it though. Still they ignored the urge, and began to hunt down those herbs.
There was a nice patch of goldenrod, basking in the sun, so they grabbed a few stems. [+ 2 goldenrod]. Then, they heard Rainpaw call. Ah, lavender! “Good find!” He smiled before picking a stem [+ 1 lavender].
Check this out ?! What could it be? He hurried over, to see the two of them scooping sand about. They shuffled closer to the water, peering over the edge with intrigue. “How weird!” He dipped a paw in, swirling a little (best he could without his paw being sucked in). Then, pulled his paw back to shore, and watched as the droplets fell from his fur. Were beaches just weird like this, or was this kind of thing abnormal? It didn’t seem like Eaglewing of Rainpaw had experienced this before.
Their droplets were making a little pile now, which they happily gathered into a ball - hmm, it stuck together pretty well.

Both apprenticed hurried over, and Eaglewing grinned wider as they marveled at the sand as well. "No, I've not seen this before!" Though she hadn't been to Lionsbeach since her training with Fadingstar. Seapaw squished some into a ball, and Eaglewing gasped. "Do you think we could play mossball with the sand? Sandball?" She scraped some of the thick, malleable sand into a ball, but when she tried to pick it up it crumbled. "Aw, rats." She tried again, this time adding a little more water, but the ball just melted into a mound. Well, no sandball. But it seemed to be a good building material--not the most stable, but definitely fun! "I bet we could make a whole forest of these tiny sand trees." She chirped, scooping another pawful of sand out to make another peak. She was silent for a long moment, utterly invested in her work, before she glanced up and saw the sky turning orange. She squeaked, shaking the sand and water from her paw. "Gosh, we might be late! I don't want to be late on my first patrol as a leader!" She flashed her patrolmates an apologetic look. "Let me grab some more herbs and we'll be out of here."
Eaglewing trotted to and fro along the beach, humming in delight when she saw some lavender in the distance. Most of it was young, so she only took the most mature growths. Best to let the rest grow.
[Eaglewing gained +2 lavender!]
Returning to the others, Eaglewing trilled behind her mouthful of herbs. "Ready?"
Rainpaw couldn't help herself, she giggled in delight as she molded the sand. "Sandball sounds fun!" She chirped. Albeit messy, but nothing a bit of water can't handle. She tried making a little sand sculpture of her sister, but it collapsed so she tried adding some more sand to the mix to firm it up. Then tried making a sand sculpture again...but this time it looked more like... Riftpaw.... She hasn't seem him around lately. Was he okay? She was forced from her thoughts by Eaglewing's voice, shaking her head as though shaking it from water and looking up with a smile. "Yes!" She chirped happily, picking up her herbs again and flicking an ear to indicate that she was ready to set out.

So... Sandball? That sounded fun, actually! Any excitement was quickly quashed, as Eaglewing's sand dissipated before their eyes. Ah well. It was still a nice texture, or what not. They wondered if a clan could ever live on a beach like this? Maybe they could have sand walls, if they properly worked on packing htis stuff together. Hmm, but it wouldn't be like this all the time, he guessed. They'd probably have to have some kind of standard bramble or thicket walls. But, if they stayed away from a tide, maybe it was possible for cats to make a home here? Anywhere close to the water seemed nice to him. Ah! He'd been stuck in his thoughts again, and his patrolmates were already talking - typical. "Mhhm!" They responded, before grabbing their herbs and tailing behind the other two.
