Mudhound just wanted this day to END. What had thunderclan, what had their family done to earn this prolonged vicious torment? For a cat who thought and hoped for the best it was hard to balance the highs and lows of this battle on if starclan wanted their family gone from the earth or not.


Because Violetfreckle, who Mudhound only realized had died when she roused again was BACK. But in the same breath Bumblestar, Mudhounds beloved sister who was fighting to keep their battered body alive was damned to yet another death. How many was left now even?

Unable to even pulled themselves to their paws to defend the sibling getting her throat ripped out above them, soaking their fur in red, Mudhound let out a choked horrible wail, petering out into a whine as they couldnt maintain the noise.



They couldnt maintain this ongoing pain in their heart either really, rendered unable to do anything but watch as these monsters ripped everything apart. But letting themselves fall to unconsciousness to the sweet relief of nothing was unacceptable too after EVERYTHING that had been sacrificed for them.


So, dyed red, rendered helpless, and letting out little whines as their body was wracked by silent sobs as Mudhound stared at their remaining family who'd both just DIED for them the tripod reached out for Violetfreckle, letting themselves be dragged back to camp.


At least now they could be gone from this place.

It was all coming together like Hell in a handbasket. He could do nothing as his leader got her throat ripped out. Nothing as he watched the slow motion horror happen a few fox lengths from him. Only vaugely feeling the dead body draped across his back breathe in air once more.

A feeling he wouldn't forget. It was just as unnatural as watching a soul take their last breath. There was no miracle involved in coming back. Only more suffering. Those jerks in the sky loved to toy with those who were still alive.

Stuttering a breath as she smacked into the ground. Standing idly by as Bumblestar somehow managed to drag both herself and her sibling back to momentary safety.

He looked over at Flintclaw and Ravenfire. Than over at the trio. Finally. His paws moved. Stumbling towards The tripod, the dying , and the formerly dead. Stepping to the side so Bumblestar could lean on him. Use him as a pillar.

"We're going home. Alive." there was no room for arguments, no room to think about anything else.

Tired eyes looked behind him. It was highly unlikely Sunstreak made it out of the otter's grasp with a dislocated leg. Most likely dead. Otter meat. If he wasn't, he'd finish him off himself.
