Oh, its side stung. Not deep. Not deep enough. Oh, it felt good to screech and spit and hiss. So it did. Whatever order the beast felt like. Aww, the tree wanted to face it! She wanted to feel its scars! It wanted to share its scars! She came at the beast's face, it continued at hers.

No one ever expected the same move twice in a row! They all told it that trying the same thing twice and expecting a different outcome... well, that was the definition of insanity! But, it always told them, THE BEAST WAS INSANITY! Her claws landed fine on the numb scars of the beast's face. It had long lost feeling there, what with the original injury and its incessant picking at the old injury. The pressure and tugging felt so good. Like a snake shedding its skin, it imagined that must be what it felt like!

It lashed out. The beast had longer legs! Yes, yes! It lashed out for Fungus tree's face once more while its other leg swept below for her chest. All it would take is for it to dig its claws in, then it would throw its weight and flip her onto her back. Yes, yes. A good plan. A great plan! Bellies and throats were easier to reach when it pinned them like that!

Pineblossom recoiled from the beasts claws. She couldn't let this thing give her any permanent damage. A scar was one thing, but she was not about to lose her sight. She snarled once more as the beast leapt towards her, its claws extended towards her chest and her head. She didn't have time to lurch back, so she could only do one thing. Protect the head.

Blood. It seeped out of her chest and covered the white patch of fur with red. Pineblossom snarled, keeping her head low. "Keep your filthy paws away from my eyes," she snarled, launching herself towards it again. This time, knowing the damaged eye was numb, she went for the other eye. However, she kept her other paw lower, mimicing the loner's previous move. Either way, she would either tear into his chest, or take out his undamaged eye. Either way, she would be satisfied to hear the creature suffer.
