Cardinalkit growled as she felt Myrtlekit's blow to her head. She twisted and batted back at the she-kit's face while she was close, but it was too late for her to hold on to her brother's pin. Frustration welled up as Crowkit slipped out from under her, despite her best efforts to catch him again. Her tail lashed.

Crowkit quickly scampered away. "Thanks!" He mewed. That was usually how his play fights with his sister went... him pinned and waiting for her to get bored.

Thanks? Cardinalkit huffed. Even if Myrtlekit had helped her before... well, nevermind that! The ginger kit never helped her any at all! "Quit being such a big baby, Crowkit!" She spat, puffing out her chest. "You always get any help you need!" Yeah! That'll show him! For... Whatever he did wrong. His ears just pinned back in reply and he looked down.

Myrtlekit stopped in her tracks, her legs beginning to tremble as Carndinalkit yelled at Crowkit. I-I'm sorry! It's not his fault! She mewed, looking at her paws.

Cardinalkit's tail lashed and she snorted, turning away from the other kits. "Yeah, no. It's both of your faults!" She spat. "You're all just mad because I'm the best at everything and you're not!" She growled, pouting and plopping her butt down right then and there as though it were some gesture of a final decision.

Crowkit's ears pinned back. He looked from his sister, to Myrtlekit, then finally to his paws. "I-I'm sorry..." He said, then glanced up at Myrtlekit again. Despite whatever Cardinalkit might think... the apology was for the other she-kit. "Please don't leave..." He said. His sister's tantrums tended to... scare others away... They would've scared Crowkit away if he wasn't forced to sleep in the same nest as her.

Myrtlekit shifted anxiously, looking at her paws. I'm sorry, Cardinalkit. She mumbled guilt striking her in the chest. I didn't mean it...

Crowkit looked between Myrtlekit and Cardinalkit. Why was his sister being so mean to her? It was one thing when it was directed at him, but now she was still doing it! "M-maybe we can play something else..." He mumbled.

Cardinalkit, however, was not hearing any of it. "No way! I'm done playing!" The tortoiseshell huffed, tail and and head high as she waddled off as confidently as a kit her size could waddle off.

Crowkit watched her go, ears drooping a bit. He glanced at Myrtlekit. "I'm sorry. She gets angry a lot..." He said, feeling a bit defeated as he heard his sister huff again in the distance. She was probably acting grumpy to wake up mama.

Myrtlekit stood there, her mouth hanging open as she watched Cardinalkit go. I'm sorry... She repeated, this time to Crowkit. Maybe he felt sad because his sister had left? She pressed her flank to his, attempting to make him feel better.

Crowkit leaned back against Myrtlekit as she apologized again. What was he supposed to do? How was he supposed to make her feel better? He was a bit relieved for now. "It's okay. She will feel better tomorrow." He said. He didn't want her to feel bad for making Cardinalkit mad. "She is nice sometimes, I promise." He really hoped that Myrtlekit didn't hate Cardinalkit.

Yeah... Myrtlekit nodded, enjoying the fact that she had someone to be close to. I... I'm sure she is. She she-kit murmured softly, her paws trembling.

Crowkit noticed Myrtlekit's trembling, but he wasn't sure what to do. She was trembling like he did. What did he usually do to calm down when he was trembling? Well, the answer was run to Mama Robinflight, but... Well, that's where Cardinalkit probably was. Would she want to be around his sister when his sister was why she was upset? He knew that he was usually the one running to mama first, then mama would put Cardinalkit into the corner and tell her to calm down...

But, well, Cardinalkit got there first.

"We can just stay here until you feel better..." He offered. "And we can wait until Cardinalkit goes to sleep. My mama wouldn't mind if you shared our nest." He told her quietly. Well, he was pretty sure that Mama wouldn't care. She was a little bit older and bigger than him and Cardinalkit... but she had adopted Sparrowpaw and Cedarpaw a long time ago, so why not now? Oh, wait... "Or I can walk you back to your mama's nest." He said.
