He planned to get a little bit of everything. It wasn't hard to find burnet, sticking out of the ground and standing out like a sore paw. He leaned down to snip the stems, then began to search for chervil.
Chervil was a bit harder to find, given it blended into a lot of the other greenery. Nonetheless, he managed to find it. With careful paws he brushed away the dirt around it before pulling it out.
Like burnet, coltsfoot wasn't hard to find. The colours were an eyesore. He grabbed all the flowers he could before returning to Mudslide and Wildstorm. He would prefer to be outside longer, but he didn't want to be late. Perhaps he could go herb collecting some other time.
Please feel free to bump me on any ongoing RPs, no matter how long it's been. I have ADHD and it gets really hard for me to keep track of all my RPs ^^
Additionally, I do not share the same beliefs as my characters! Please do not take their words personally <3

Wildstorm trotted in behind Mudslide, flicking her ear as the patrol-leader wordlessly set to work. Good. She liked it that way. It looked like Mudslide had a good gathering of burnet, so she decided to set out for the chervil and coltsfoot.
-d20: rolled 16-
She found a little bush of chervil, but Sleepysunrise asked for it to be uprooted. So Wildstorm carefully dug around the plant to bring it up along with the roots. This kind of delicate work was not her strong suite, but she managed to make it work. She was a warrior after all, sometimes this kind of work was necessary. Even if she'd prefer fighting.
+2 uprooted chervil
Good, that was done. It looked like Mudslide was having some difficulty with the coltsfoot, so she figured she'd look for that next.
-d20: rolled 20!-
Jackpot! She found a nice little gathering of some of the flowers Sleepysunrise had showed her. She chewed a few of the stalks at the base and gathered the flowers scooping them up along with her chervil. There. Now she had her bundle, all that was left was Silentpaw's. And if Mudslide wanted more too of course.

With room for at least one herb left, the warrior trotted in search of what she hadn't gathered. Uprooted chervil. She was more wary of this herb, given she'd remember at least one herb that had to be uprooted also had numbing affects. She had been foolish, and her tongue was uselessly unreachable for at least an entire day.
It's not like Mudslide thought not speaking was something to be concerned about, quite the contrary, but rather everything else that came with numbness. She remembered having to be very particular with how she ate, knowing that she could easily nick her tongue and not feel it. She was pretty sure it was uprooted chervil that caused it, but her memory was dull. Mudslide briefly wondered why...
Wandering through little shade, multicoloured paws finally set upon chervil much to her satisfaction. Gathering it would be the hard part however.

[+1 uprooted chervil]
After the success, Mudslide walked back over to the group, paws carefully avoiding puddles of mud, thick and unnatural. Standing face to face with the two cats, she raised her tail and flicked it by its tip. Ready or not, she was heading out.
Right, that’s all of them. No apprentices to worry about, so it should be a relatively easy one. “No problem, let’s get going.” He led the way out with a flick of his tail.
Being in The Dawning Woods was nice, a favourite hunting spot of his. He didn’t feel much need to speak, with apprentices he’d tell them to stay close or whatnot, but these were all experienced cats. “Let’s get what we can, prey should be decent with new-leaf coming back. We can meet back by these ferns when we’re done.” He gestured to them with a paw. He was unsure whether Quietmouth knew it was a hunting patrol, so gestured to him with his tail, then demonstrated a quick hunter’s crouch and stalking motion, giving him a quick head dip before heading off to hunt.
The tortoiseshell crept through the underbrush, ears twitching at the faint sound of scurrying. He stopped still, tilting his nose to the air to get a good wiff. Squirrel, right near by. He moved along, each paw placed carefully till it came into view. Then, he pounced. It was a pretty average sized squirrel, decent enough. Silently, he thanked it for its life, then headed over to bury it where they’d arrived.
He could smell something else nearby - mouse. So, he crept over, ensuring he stayed downwind. He could hear its little paws scurrying now, and - aha! There it was. The creature scampered out of the bushes, and he swiftly made his move, killing it with one swift bite. He thanked it for its life as usual, then went and placed it with his squirrel.
