Hollykit did move, which was good because otherwise it would've been right off with her head after the meeting because how many must she have missed by now. And her concerns over it were all... weird. If Bumblestar didn't think she was fit to be an apprentice, then the leader would've kicked her out not kept her as a forever kit, honestly. The russet tabby narrowed her eyes at Hollykit's words, raising her paw to lightly bap at her snout to get her to stop talking nonsense, "Don't be daft. If Bumblestar didn't want you as an apprentice, she would've kicked you out a long time ago. You feel anxious now because this is new, but soon being an apprentice will be just as natural as being a kit."
The feline whispered, not wanting to talk over the leader as she waited for the naming to begin. Rosekit did attempt to clean some of Hollykit's fur but didn't make much progress before Bumblestar was listing off the kits that had arrived in time. Her and her remaining litter for one, and the rest of the names besides Hollykit were primarily strangers to her. Rosepaw did take note of the hesitance at Hollypaw's name, or perhaps it was something else? Bumblestar didn't.. look so good, she looked haunted. The apprentice frowned, but knew that now wasn't the time nor place to bring that kind of concern from out of her mind.
Especially when Bumblestar seemed well enough to continue with the ceremonies for the time being, if something was horribly wrong then the medicine cats and deputy would step in, right? Her eyes flickered to Spiderthroat who had been speaking with his kit, and she hadn't seen Wolfhawk or Hollowpaw yet... maybe she should bring up the concern to Wolfhawk just to be sure that someone with the ability to help was in the know- wait a moment. Rosepaw's tail lashed once, Risingstorm was matched with her brother? Drizzlepaw- paw! She wasn't sure about that, though at the same time Risingstorm was the head Hornet so he must have some sense.
She waited and it wasn't long before her name was called, Brackenclaw? Oh... the cat that went on the mission for the cure. The one that kind of ranted and attempted to scare her or something when she was younger and hasn't interacted with again. Well at least, he was a hornet, that meant she could trust him to do his job. Hopefully that included being a satisfactory and active mentor- though there were many things she wanted to learn that wouldn't happen through Brackenclaw. Stormy eyes shifted around until they landed on the large tom and she wasted no time making her way over.
"Brackenclaw," Rosepaw greeted, dipping her head so they could do a proper, traditional mentor-apprentice greeting, with a nose against the younger's forehead. She never understood that action, but it was simply the proper way of doing things here. Oh, Rosepaw should explain her training thus far, "I've received a basic hunting crouch lesson from Tigerpelt, and received feedback and practice with Flintclaw. I've also learned about the different types of patrols.. though that is less important." She should make a note to bother Flintclaw into taking her out for predator defense/offense lessons like he promised her they would do.

☾☽☾☽✿❀✿ her eyes still looked drained of any happiness she once possessed but she seemed a little less grim when she heard the name hollypaw, she should have felt happiness...she should have felt something...but she was empty. she stood up after rosekit- no...rosepaw bapped her on her nose and she huffed "I see..." she mumbled as she looked around for her mentor. dazecloud...she...she had a mentor...it sounded so odd in her train of thought but she decided...if she wanted to do something about her horrid life...she would train until her paws fell off...until she couldn't breath...on her final breath...she would fight. ✿❀✿☾☽☾☽
