Heatherpaw gently nudged her bug away from the others. Shoot. She was going up against a bald faced hornet, and...the odds weren't good. Japanese beetles naturally had sharp, spiny feet, and they burrowed underground for the winter. Maybe if it believed it was cold, it would burrow and be undetectable from the hornet! She had no idea how to do that, though.
