As yet another ThunderClanner approached, Sunheart felt his pelt start to bristle, but it lay flat again as Owlstar joined him. Sunheart was proud, but he was no fool. There was no way he could take on this many enemies on his own- but also, these squirrels weren't his enemy- for now. He hoped to keep it that way. The ShadowClan warrior was the problem here. Pausing to dip his head respectfully to Bumblestar and Spiderthroat in acknowledgement, he turned back to Vixenclaw. "Worried about kits yet traipsing through RiverClan territory with nothing to say for yourself?"

The deputy raised a brow at the supposed queen, letting his claws slowly slide out. It seemed the ThunderClan deputy was on the same page about their own warrior. Good- he at least had no doubt they would keep them in check. "You hiss at your deputy and therefore your Clan, yet you turned your back on them by deciding taking a ShadowClan mate." The tom growled, lashing his tail. He wouldn't cross the border to attack Flintclaw, of course, but it vexed him how a cat could be so reckless and irresponsible. It would never make sense to the bengal. Your duty is to your Clan and your Clan alone, as far as he was concerned. Fraternizing with the others...he could pass on.

"What say you, Owlstar? I'd say this ShadowClanner is our problem, unfortunately. How should we return her?" The question was open-ended, but it was clear what he meant. Dead or alive?

┆彡 black-furred tall & sinewy tom with vitiligo resulting in white speckles covering his fur; heavily scarred across his entire body, missing half his left ear. his eyes are a light cloudy amber due to his blindness --- has protruding fangs that overlap his bottom lip & walks with a prominent limp. smells like spicy citrus with an underlying petrichor scent. speaks in a low & raspy monotone voice. ✮

➺ wormbite was partially surprised to see midnightpaw arrive albeit late –it was rare for all patrolmates to fully show. perhaps this was a sign all would go well. he gave a short nod in response to squirrelpaw’s impatience and without another word, the oriental was off.

he kept a steady place whilst they walked through the territory. his ears swiveling to the sounds around them, on high alert the closer they approached the thunderclan’s border.

once the scent of pines and squirrels were heavy in the air, he came to a halt. “nightweb, take midnightpaw to mark along south of the border. squirrelpaw, follow me, “ wormbite commanded, that way they could divide the work and still ensure the apprentices were safe.

the warrior started to travel north of the border, brushing his fur against nearby willowbark and reeds to leave his scent; strengthening the border.

Squirrelpaw puffed out her chest, pride glowing in her amber hues. The mackerel calico took off after Wormbite, her tail swaying happily behind her.

Nightweb nodded towards Wormbite then turned towards Midnightpaw. "C'mon," he calls out, heading towards the south of the border, marking each tree he passed. He occasionally turned his head to make sure Midnightpaw was doing the same.

Midnightpaw nodded as he followed his patrol-mates. He turned to Nightweb with a half-smile, following Wormbite's orders. ``Alrighty!``

➺ wormbite would continue to mark north along the border beside squirrelpaw. he kept aware of the apprentice's location at all times. once he reached the edge of the border and he was satisfied with his side of the border, wormbite would turn around and head back to the middle. his long tail flickered as a gesture for squirrelpaw to follow.

once he reached to the middle, wormbite sat down and waited patiently for nightweb and midnightpaw. they were making time - if all continued to go well, they would be done in no more time.

Squirrelpaw followed Wormbite, rubbing her cheek along some brambles and her pelt along some brush. Her amber eyes were bright as they finished up and went to wait on Nightweb and Midnightpaw.

Midnightpaw let his scent fill the area around him as he brushed up against shrubs and anything else he saw. With an excited tail-flick he turned back to Nightweb. ``I'm all finished here!``

He trotted back to the group alongside Nightweb, smiling. The tuxedo tom nodded to Squirrelpaw as he padded up to his patrol-mates.
