It seemed like these medcats didn't seem to like their job, part of it was actually being compassionate about the sick, and recovering! Whatever. The shecat walked off

...what? Still recovering? A puzzled look came across the younger cat's face as Lightningpaw spoke. The plague ended almost five moons ago! He jumped in front of the apprentice to prevent her from leaving. Wolfhawk had to find his footing after that (suprisingly, he still was not used to jumping tripoded, this was probably one of his first times doing so), but his green eyes connected with the 'paw's. "So either you're purposefully starving yerself or yer lying. Unless somethin's up, you should be fine. The plague ended moons ago n everycat else has recovered physically," - he only said physical, as he knew 1000% some cats haven't recovered emotionally, such as bumble and muddy. "So explain to me why you said that. Or I'm getting Bumble to deal with ya."

[hey! as the plague ended almost 5 months ago, this wouldn't make sense, as they would have fully recovered from the sickness unless they are immunocompromised, and it hasn't been established lightning is]

Mantispaw hummed as she and her patrol got back. She set down the Juniper carefully, then spoke. "Hi Wolfhawk! I found some Juniper, I think MallowSwarm found some poppies and Juniper too. I think Darkfeather got some too. I'm also sorry for our lateness!"

Mallowswarm

Mallowswarm padded into camp along with her patrolmates, jaws clamped awkwardly around the herbs she had collected. Without speaking, she placed them on the ground next to the herbs that the others had set down, before straightening, glad she didn't have to carry them anymore. Transporting the herbs, especially the juniper berries, without damaging them was harder than she had expected it to be.

But she had finished a patrol. The realisation sparked a flicker of pride in her chest, brief but bright. Mallowswarm had been on a couple, but she had never completed any- one because her patrolmate had disappeared, and the other because she had collapsed. This shouldn't be a big achievement for her- she was a warrior, twenty-one moons, she should have completed lots of patrols by now- but in its own way, it was. Like her first meeting as a warrior, or getting an apprentice- something that wasn't important in the scheme of things but was.

Why was there an apprentice returning alone!? Wolfhawk listened to mantispaw as they spoke, annoyance on their face before their adult patrol members returned shortly behind. The tripod collected the herbs, flicking their tail in dismissal before turning to Mantispaw. "Next time stick with your patrolmates, mkay? Dangerous stuff out there n its better to be with them instead of running ahead." and with that, all herb patrols have reported. Yippie. These should hopefully keep his storage high for a bit.

Darkfeather is back in camp she collected about 9-10 branches/stalks (whatever they are called) of juniper berries.
