frost walker lost at sea [p]
Diamond || 46 moons || she/they || Kittypet
Green eyes flashed opened as the monster took a sudden sharp turn, the sound of both of the twoleg's chatter rising in volume. Even though the cat was now familiar with the rumbling noises the shiny creature made while it sprinted on the thunderpath, she still preferred to stay awake in case of an emergency. 'It’s not like I could do much if something actually happened …’ she thought to herself. She'd seen what the aftermath of a crash between two monsters looked like thanks to the magic wall-thing that her caretakers liked to watch. It wasn't pretty– twisted metal and blaring red lights were shown before the scene was switched to something else.
‘Half remembered techniques can only do so much…’
Diamond practiced her rol- former role rarely; the most recent incident was around eight moons ago if she recalled correctly. She had found a young cat in the park with a bleeding paw from a tumble they took onto a sharp rock. Thankfully, it was a rather shallow cut compared to wounds she had seen before, so all Diamond had to do was apply pressure then put some tansy on it. The bright yellow flowering plant happened to grow in the sunny part of the park, which was nice. What wasn't nice was that the cat ran off afterwards without thanking her, but eh… She understood anxiety better than most.
To be completely honest, the life of a kittypet had never been something Diamond considered prior to her return to the land of the living. ThunderClan had been everything to her; she'd exhausted herself in order to keep it from falling apart as the only high rank in the clan just a few moons into her time as an apprentice. It… it was never going to end well for her, no matter how much she prayed to the stars for a peaceful future. And once she was up there, everything was too fake, too easy, too much– so she returned to the forest! Yet ThunderClan was no longer the home she remembered; the moss covering her eyes had been removed. The brambles surrounding camp weren't for safety but for confinement, the rules not set up for peace but for constant conflict. She could no longer make change for the pond was frozen solid. StarClan was too artificial for her tastes. ThunderClan was too real.
The sound of the monster going into its slumber with a loud beep was what finally drew Diamond away from her thoughts. ‘Now is not the time to be reminiscing about the past… I think we're at the new den!’ Sure enough, the monster’s fake-sunlight turns on and her twolegs start putting on their removable pelts. Rose-Giver is the first to get out of the beast, letting a blast of cold leafbare air in, which Diamond hisses at.
(The mouse-brained twoleg gets her name for the way she asked Fire-Head to be her mate– with a rose! Off all the flowers she could have chosen, she picked a bright red rose! Marigold would have obviously been better!)
(Fire-head, Diamond’s original caretaker is named after the artificial, super bright, orange-red color of fur she has. She's the very best! … As long as she's had her magical brown water, that is)
Fire gets out shortly after her mate, once again proving that she is star-blessed by going right for Diamond’s travel den. It's always an odd feeling, being lifted into the air suddenly, but she’s no longer a cat who's terrified of everything. The blue-gray cat's bravery is rewarded as she is placed down in her plush nest once inside the house. The floor is covered in stacks of boxes as far as she can see, all of them unopened. The only familiar thing she spots (besides the nest under her) is the blue-gray sitting thing that matches her fur color exactly. Snores are coming from that direction, so she is able to safely assume that her twolegs went right into the land of dreams.
Since Diamond slept most of the trip away she decides to go exploring right away. ‘Maybe I'll even find some herbs… it doesn't hurt to look…’ Unfortunately Diamond is unable to find anything until the sun begins to rise over the horizon and she stumbles over a patch of yarrow. At that point she was firmly questioning her decision to search at night, because of course most herbs are hard to spot when it's pitch black out. She doesn't take any of the white flowering plants, instead simply making note of its location.
‘I should probably get back now, before Rose wakes up Fire in a panic… wait– what was the way back again?’

[ Uh oh, Ici’s lost! Whatever shall she do! hehe... ]
