And Salamanderpaw...flattens immediately! "Oomph!!"

She'd been hyping herself up, she'd been ready, but Salamanderpaw's never actually had a bigger cat jump on her back like this. Her legs crumble, belly hits the ground punching that awkward groan out of her, chin scrapes the dirt. Embarrassment strikes again and she hisses angrily, pressing hard against the earth and trying to rock herself side to side enough to shake Caveclaw off, or roll hersef over and away, or something.

Caveclaw starts to lose balance, and with that, she has to step off a bit.

If Salamanderpaw rolls away, she'll manage to trip Caveclaw.
If not, the wiggling will inevitably knock the lionheart off.

Salamanderpaw gets a good enough boost from her paws on the right side to be able to nudge herself over onto her side and then her back, shoving into a sideways roll. It wouldn't be a very neat extrication, and odds are she either inadvertantly bonks or is inadvertantly bonked by her current instructor in her effort to flop free, but for a first shot at this kind of thing she does...alright. Practice'll have to make that one perfect some time later.

Caveclaw was off, and she waited a moment for Salamanderpaw to get up.
"No issue, it's always good to ask questions during a lesson to learn more." They responded.

She thought for a moment, wondering if she believed that to be enough moves for the apprentice to have learned.
Hm, maybe one more would suffice, if Salamanderpaw was up for it.

"Would you like to learn one more move?" Caveclaw asked.

One more? She'd take a hundred more if Caveclaw had them—but, one step at a time. Salamanderpaw nods eagerly.

"One more, and then you gotta fight me for real, okay?" She fidgets from paw to paw. Now that she has a more realistic understanding of her skillset versus Caveclaw's she is certain that she doesn't stand a chance against the lionheart, really...but she still wants the experience.

"Alright." Caveclaw simply replied "I'll teach you the leap and hold move."
She paused for a moment, trying to think of the best way to explain this one.

"When it comes to this move, you jump onto an opponents back, usually a larger one, and usually with unsheathed claws." She said "The best way to latch on without claws, for example, during practice, would be to wrap your front paws around your opponents neck as tight as you can. But, you also want to jump off before your opponent rolls over and tries to squish you."

"You can try it out on me whenever you're ready."

Oh wow. This...this move sounds way cooler than any of the other ones. Definitely cooler than that stupid hind kick. It sounds like real battle stuff.

Oh Salamanderpaw is so excited!!!

"Yesssss okay...okay! Okayokayokay..." but she needs to hype herself up first. Salamanderpaw might have an inflated ego but she's pretty realistic about her physical capabilities (outside of, perhaps, overestimating her strength); she knows she's not a swishy, agile, jump-and-dodge-and-dance kind of cat. She's a battering ram in fur. So the idea of jumping onto somebody gives her pause for all of two seconds before she reminds herself that this is what warriors do and she is going to be a warrior.

After a deep breath, Salamanderpaw bunches her haunches up and leaps for Caveclaw's back.

Alright, after a few seconds, she decided it was time for the next step in this move.

If the apprentice could jump out in time before Caveclaw rolled over.
With that thought, Caveclaw began to start rolling.
