Foggymask sighed. He'd been here before, trying to get another shot at life as himself. It didn't work out well, unsuprisingly, but he may as well just give it a shot in the dark to try and come back as one of his kits. Why not. Stepping up, he swished his tail and began.

"I already tried ressurect myself once before, and truthfully i couldn't find many reasons that I actually wanted to commit to. Here I have much more. First off, it would just hurt Silentpaw more to come back, to have finally accepted that I'm gone and then I'm back like nothing ever happened. I don't want to hurt him like that. It would be better to come back as a new cat, my own kit, actually. I might not remember who I am, but a fresh start would be a way to make new, better decisions. Maybe I'll get to grow up in a better family, one who actually cares about me. I, being the father, wouldn't be there, but I know damn well Sweetfawn would love and care for these kits enough to make up for my absence."

He had a bunch more reasons, but saying them here would just probably make the wardens bored as he dragged on and on. The lynx point would just answer as the questions came. 'Never reveal your true self to others' was the way he raised himself, since his father didn't at all. So he'd just act like this was some normal conversation with regular cats that need persuading, not just the very cats who hold the power of life and death in their paws.

Dark Forest

A dark tan she-cat stepped out into view, her blue eyes daggers as the rested on the failure. She should be a face that haunted him, being present for his rejected resurrection. He once again stood before them, speaking of kinship and blood. Why? Why was that the binding factor for his need to go back? He'd disgraced the borders with his cross-clan relationship -- official or not -- and apparently left another cat pregnant in his wake. How many mates did he have? How much did blood really mean to him? This wasn't starting in his favor from the typically quiet she-cat.

Her tail lashed behind her, eyes laying on the other wardens that'd step forward before that icy gaze landed on the reject instead. "You come back speaking of blood, again, although you failed to prove how much blood meant to you while you were living. The soul never travels too far, you might end up repeating yourself..." just as she'd heard of time and time again. "Doesn't seem wise to send a traitor back to repeat his actions in a few moons..." just as she'd heard of time and time again.

Him again? It seemed like he was quite desperate to return to the living world. Maybe he was. But the last time he stood before the council, he spoke of almost the same thing. His kin.

"'A fresh start', you say... But that is what everybody else says, no? What makes you differ from them? You say you do not want to resurrect yourself in fear of hurting your son more, but is that poor soul the only one you care enough about that you choose to start anew? How about your other kits? How about the kits that are soon to be born? What about them? Would you not want to go back for them?" Daisypool sat, tail curling over her back and eyes soft yet calculating. "Make it make sense, dear. I would just like to hear the reasoning behind your choices."

"I am afraid I am inclined to agree with the current general consensus here." A white pelt with stark, black bengal markings emerged from the mist. Blue-grey eyes narrowed and shadowed. Unreadable. Him again. This was not this cat's first time making a request of this nature, and everything about it that pricked her the wrong way was already pointed out by her fellow wardens. Snowleopard understood what it meant to take actions that were easily misunderstood or unpopular among her clanmates. However, that was a far cry from this cat's past actions.

"You come here showing more consideration for your son than you did previously, I suppose this is something worth commending at the very least." She started, stepping forward to stand between Dustpoppy and Daisypool. She did not think she'd ever find herself erring on the side of Daisypool, normally so lenient. Although their reasons differed from her own. "However, there is much left unanswered in your words. You speak of the importance of blood relations and loyalty. However, this does not change that you were executed by your leader for being caught at the border with a feline from a clan outside of your own. From my recollection, this was a decision you agreed with at the time." Snowleopard's voice was unwavering, she was simply stating facts after all.

"I understand taking action you believe to be justified for the sake of a greater purpose. The fact remains that the soul does not change much, no matter what molds it." Her blue-grey eyes now showed their level of cold judgment. She wanted to hear Foggymask out, however his spoken desires were fairly generic thus far. And none of it was very convincing. "What of the she-cat you met at the border of your own clan? You have spoken of your son, and the queen who now will bring more of your spawn into your clan. But can you guarantee you will be a more loyal and worthy warrior with this chance?" She flicked an ear as she spoke, a sign of her doubt. "Thus far, you have spoken in terms of 'maybes' and possibilities. You have said yourself that this Sweetfawn can manage raising this kits on her own. So, I will reiterate the question the others have asked."

Snowleopard leaned forward slightly, her eyes no longer narrowed. She was almost willing him to give a proper reason. At this point, she was unconvinced that between this attempt and the last that he was one of those exceptional warriors that deserved the second chance that they sought. He seemed...remorseful. But remorse along does bring about change. "Why you?" She asked point blank, staring straight into Foggymask's eyes. She wanted to see him defend his position, she wanted to see him put more thought into his plan than wanting to be raised as his son's half-brother for the slim chance of being present for him. Something like that wasn't even a guarantee. It was entirely possible that his son would not welcome his company as a half-sibling. And if that happened what then? Would he go and betray his clan again?

Foggymask noticed Dustpoppy being the first to appear. She'd been in his ressurection, hadn't she? "I didn't realize how important blood truly was. I was so focused on being better than my father, being there for my kits, that I ended up becoming him. I was pathetic, too afraid of the responsibility." he admitted, his cold and calculating mask dropping just for a moment, before he quickly picked it back up and put it back on.

Next was Daisypool. She pointed out that the only cat he seemed to talk to about was Silentpaw. "I do want to go back for all my kits. For Silentpaw, for the new ones to be born. I could try my best to raise them while being one of them. I used Silentpaw as an example, but coming back as myself would hurt more than it helped. It's better to start anew, have another chance at being a good cat and not a traitor. I've made mistakes and I can fix them. I swear." he said confidently, trying to make it seem like he wasn't slightly intimidated by them.

The last warden. Snowleopard. "I know the importance of blood and loyalty now, since I was killed for being disloyal. I've learned the consequences, experienced them firsthand." he countered, though not too aggressively, incase they were sensitive to aggression and what not. After subconsciously studying their facial expressions, he'd noted that Snowleopard did seem inclined to send him back, but wasn't convinced just yet. He needed a few good reasons, good persuasive talk, and he'd be good to go. "I need to go back. I will keep coming back, over and over again, until I can come back and change. It's not just wants and begging, I can't be here, in StarClan, unable to make amends with my son in any way. He doesn't believe in StarClan. I tried to contact him through a dream, but he wouldn't talk to me, dismissing me as nothing more than a figment of his imagination. It hurts."

Dustpoppy fell silent, her eyes studying him meticulously as he spoke. A silent judgement stating that she could care less for hearing him through. Her answer had been decided before the moment she stepped in front of him. The she-cat simply thought she'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he would've came up with something new to state, something unique. Maybe his character could've changed some. No. It was all the same blabber. All the same as when she judged him before.

Sure, she was of the Dark Forest, but she was sensible. She didn't want to create chaos the same as others had. She knew the rules, it only took one yes. Her tail swished through the air, brows furrowing with disappointment. She'd heard enough. "No." She stepped back without reasoning. A cat of few words, though her face was critical. The others could decide whatever they wanted, but she hated these ceremonies.

Daisypool's gaze softened as Foggymask turned to address, her, humming lowly in response. It was quite a sight to see, such a once tough warrior so torn over kits. But there was still a problem.

"They would not know it is you, though, would they? And neither will you, until you get your memories back. You only wish to go back for your own liking, it seems..." The she-cat trailed off, ears folding back as she thought. He only seemed to be thinking and talking about how he could change. Change how? It was... Well, worth pitying, but it was hard to see through the former ShadowClanner. Her expression remained soft yet calculated, eyes travelling with Foggymask's to Snowleopard when he began speaking. Though, when the tom finished talking to Snowleaopard, her once soft and gentle eyes narrowed, a slight look of agitation visible in the usually warm-hearted cat. She cut Snowleopard off before she could say anything.

"Sorry, Snowleopard. YOU. You're saying you think you can have multiple chances? 'Keep coming back'? I don't think so. You only get one chance to live, and if you blow it, you are not getting another one." Daisypool sat up straighter, tail wrapping around her paws. She tipped her head to the side, ear flicking. She was ticked off, but she wasn't completely angry. "I will give you one more chance to prove yourself, Foggymask."

Snowleopard considered Foggymask's response carefully, but her thoughts were broken by Daisypool's interruption, a lash of her tail and a twitch of her ear the only outward signs of her annoyance. She didn't like that Daisypool cut her off, though she also couldn't help a small smirk at seeing the normally demure feline speak so harshly. "Come now, Daisypool. If you truly believe that, then why does this council exist in the first place?" She couldn't help the little tease. A small coy grin the only indication she gave her fellow warden that she did not mean to start an argument here. After all, she had yet to give a response to Foggymask's latest. And it did not pass her attention that he seemed to think that Snowleopard was his best chance at getting a second chance.

"That said," Snowleopard mewed sharply, turning a hard gaze back on the pleading warrior, "many cats come here making claims like this, Foggymask. Thus far, nothing you have said is anything special." She mewed coolly. "Once more, you speak of blood ties, loyalty, and making amends. Not to mention the insolence of presuming that coming here repeatedly might somehow wear us down to change our minds." Snowleopard's tail lashed in agitation, she needed to address that as well even though Daisypool already had. "In the end, there are certain things I am still waiting to hear from you." She narrowed her eyes, not in judgment but in interest. Snowleopard's ear twitched in a subtle greeting as Dustpoppy passed her, clearly having made her decision and standing firm with it. The only cats that remained now were Daisypool and Snowleopard, and it was not going the usual way one might assume it would with these two being the only ones left.

"How do you think Silentpaw will react when he learns his half-brother is actually his father?" She asked, scoffing at the idea. "Making amends with him will require you to reveal yourself, if and when your true memories return. If you think you returning as yourself will traumatize him, have you given thought to how this might harm him as well?" Snowleopard cast a sideways glance at Daisypool, figuring that the answer to this question was one she'd be particularly interested in. And Snowleopard was growing tired of this back and forth. She wanted Foggymask's next answers to be the final ones before their verdict.

"Making amends with your son seems to benefit you more than it does him. Rather than allowing him to move on." She remarked with the wave of her tail. "I also have yet to hear what sets you apart from all the others who have been turned away." She added, leaning forward with interest. This was the argument she was truly invested in hearing. "In life, I believed death was sometimes a mercy. And taking that philosophy into my own paws is brought me to where I am today." Her gaze became cold, she didn't want Foggymask to try and read and give her the answer he thought she wanted. She wanted him to give her his true answer to this. "That said...how is your death not a mercy to your beloved son and those around you? Your disloyalty and inability to perform, the very reasons you want to make amends. How is you being reincarnated better than you remaining among the dead?"

This was the crux of what she wanted to know, of what she needed to hear. Snowleopard was inclined to grant second chances, but to cats who deserved it. So far, she was still unconvinced if Foggymask deserved it or not. And the warrior still had to prove himself to either her or Daisypool for him to have this chance he craved. What makes you different, Foggymask. The warden kept this question in her mind as she eyed him, waiting for his final round of answers. She could tell that both her and Daisypool were tiring of this roundabout, and Dustpoppy had already made her decision.
