Tortoiseshell she-cat with yellow eyes | scarring- right back ankle
The young tortoiseshell growled at herself as she paced in front of the Apprentice den, she was holding herself back from a Ceremony. She didn't have to learn about plants, she already knew about... well four of them and that was good enough for her!

The young tortoiseshell growled at herself as she paced in front of the Apprentice den, she was holding herself back from a Ceremony. She didn't have to learn about plants, she already knew about... well four of them and that was good enough for her!
rookfire lifted his head slightly, snow slipping down his shoulders, quickly followed by the remainder that had settled on his back over the night as he sat. eyes as cool as the leafbare air around him, glancing around the clearing, the former medicine cats gaze quickly landed on turtlepaw. he hadnt really seen her around much since the rat and snake battle, but he had also not engaged with other apprentices as much recently he admitted to himself. even if it did sting. he'd have to do better from now on. start with the tortoiseshell pacing in front of the apprentices den.
for a while longer, he remained still, thoughts wandering while he losely wondered what could have her pacing. probably something upsetting, a situation she couldnt easily tackle. now, he'd have to decide if he wanted to deal with a potentially whiny apprentice. she wasnt his nightmare apprentice per se but he had seen enough of her typical behaviour to only actively seek her out if he was feeling good enough. with the poisons effects already wearing off, there wasnt really anything that spoke against this. he sighed, eyes closing and head briefly dropping before he looked ahead and leaped off his sleeping spot easily.
the warrior landed smoothly, the slightest reminder of his broken shoulder radiating up his neck in the form of tight pain before disappearing once more, rookfire made his way over to turtlepaw. "how's trainin'? should be 'bout time ya rank up aye?" the tom offered with a nod, clearly inviting the apprentice to air her struggles or request help.

Her fur bristled more as she anxiously paced about, well until her self loathing and intrusive bashing came to a quick halt as a lanky looking tom graced her.... wait, "Mr. Rookfire? My apologies was I annoying y-."
...........................
Well her ranking up was an over statement... she was supposed to be a warrior 3 moons ago. No thanks to her lousy mentor who never even had the audacity to greet themselves! "Yes sir, I was supposed to be a warrior approximately three moons ago but my mentors either never showed for my reassignment or they do and never speak to me again. and not to mention I have to personally have to learn herbs EVEN though I was a outsider and know the typical basics... I may not know the official names of the plants but at least I know what they look like." Each word was like a personal little jab to each lousy mentor and a bit to her for not trying earlier to get somecat for her last class.

rookfire dismissed turtlepaws rambling with a shake of his head. had she been annoying he wouldve acted differently. getting the 'sir' title he himself usually reserved for authority like dawnstar, mistlewhisker or hawkbite was a bit odd but not quite as odd as the complaint turtlepaw voiced specifically. herbs? what in starclans name did herbs have to do with ranking up? it was additional training sure, but there was so much more important stuff to get through. hunting, battle, stealth ah well he could understand it might appear to be the easiest thing to fill up one of the additional training slots with. the whole being upset that her knowledge wasnt valued did rub him the wrong way. instead of complaining, the apprentice, only a relatively small amount of moons his junior, couldve spent her time seeking out other cats, himself, hawkbite or another enforcer that tended to keep up with apprentice training, and learned to climb or advance their skills in battle. "rules are rules. i had ta' repeat some trainin' to rank up as well n honestly i dont really see your problem." eyes narrowed and one whisker brow pulled up in question, he let silence linger before continuing. "first aid isn' a requirement n its on you ta' get yer training in even if your mentor is slacking." he corrected firmly, mildly annoyed with turtlepaws inability to get herself together and in line. "unless yer actually interested in progressin' with yer training instead of complaining and shifting blame onto someone else, leave."
