As the lionheart began to sprint towards Speckledpaw, his ears pinned as they felt their heartbeat quicken, their mind going two million miles an hour.

what would happen if caveclaw rammed into them?
would they get hurt?
would have claws be upset they failed?
what if they failed and they never got to raccoons level?
why couldn't they just be better?
they needed to do something

Speckledpaw's ears were pinned, eyes wide with fear as the lionheart came barreling for him, but they continued to wait until she was almost ontop of them.

(Rolling d20 with disadvantage; 17 - 7 [successful but barely])

Speckled suddenly leapt out of the way, barely avoiding his tail being trampled over, they wheezed, eyes still wide as little shivering tremors gripped them

As soon as she passed the apprentice, Caveclaw skidded to a stop.
They took a look back at Speckledpaw.
Hm.

"You'll have to be quicker next time," They then explained "Try not to overthink it, that makes you slower. We'll try something else for now, and then we'll come back to that."
They would let Speckledpaw calm down for now, by figuring out something different.

"There's a long, thin rock over there." The lykoi continued "I want you to try and balance on it while walking on it."
It shouldn't be too difficult.
The rock isn't too thin, though she can tell it unstable.
So, Speckledpaw's going to have to be careful if they don't want it to wobble, or even fall, for that matter.

Speckledpaw exhaled shakily, nodding, his ears still flat. "sorry about that- I get in my head alot.." He murmured, how could he have been so stupid? They nodded and padded towards the rock, eyeing it carefully.
What if it's shaky?
What if you fall?
That'd be so embarrassing- infront of a lionheart too?!

Carefully speckledpaw treaded upon the rock, long tail out, keeping the small, lithe cat upright as he began to walk.

(Rolling d20 at disadvantage; 14 - 7 [unsuccesful])

As they walked the rock started to waver, and soon the tipped to far, falling on their paws below. He grunted, brows knitted as he shook his pelt, getting back up to do it again, this time being a bit more cautious of the tipping.

(rolling d20 at disadvantage; 17 - 4 [successful!])

He continued to pad on the shaky, unbalanced stone, eyes slitted in focus.

She watched as, at first, Speckledpaw lost their balance.
But then, the kid seemed to retry, and was more successful.

"You're doing well." Caveclaw said, waiting for Speckledpaw to finish up.
