Deerkit shivered as he laid in a nest of moss. As a newly born, newly orphaned kit, he knew almost nothing about the Clan. His mother had died during his kitting, and he was a single-born kit...

Sparrowpelt snuck into the nursery carefully. It'd been a bit since he'd been in here and that was when Drizzlecloud was around. He hadn't seen his mate around lately, it was worrying him. He was truly hoping the she-cat didn't just go missing, but he wouldn't be able to know. Right now the temperatures were dropping. The kits they took in from Spring were in the nursery and needed fed and kept warm. He'd do that. He wouldn't go absent on them.
From his mouth, a squirrel hung. He'd slip into the nest Drizzlecloud had created, the kittens were either in the nest or somewhere running around. He was a rather large tom, larger than they'd probably been exposed to so far. Very fluffy, too. "Drizzlekit, Rosekit, Poppykit, Honeykit," he called each by name, hoping they knew who he was. Whether by name or seeing him coming to check on Drizzlecloud here and there. "I brought food if y'all 're hungry, but yer welcome to nap on me, too. I'know it's gettin' pretty cold out there, it seeps in 'ere sometimes," Sparrowpelt hoped they'd gather, at least one or two.
Rosekit saw the tom walk into the nursery and make his way to her litter's nest before he spoke, silently ecstatic that Sparrowdad was actually following through and listening to her threat at the meeting. On the outside, she padded away from where she was patrolling for any trouble makers towards the nest where she happily hopped into it. "Good! You get to keep your Sparrowdad name then!" Rosekit aimed to sound like a leader when an apprentice did good but her excitement of having a parental figure made it seem more like a kit happy to see their dad ( because that was what it was. )
"It's a squirrel right? That's a squirrel!" Rosekit sniffed at the prey that Sparrowdad had brought to the nest curiously, remembering the time she saw a rabbit as big as herself brought back to camp from that grumpy, no-good Bearsnarl. The squirrel was kinda like a rabbit if you squint your eyes hard enough and tilted your head a little at it, but they were much more frequently in the prey pile than anything like a rabbit. Rabbits were known to be Windclan food after all, not Thunderclan food. It had a strange smell, and she wasn't sure if that was good or not, it was around all prey.. the not quite warm and alive smell.
As her light blue-almost grey eyes shifted from the prey and back to the warrior she frowned once more. Why was it that no cat could ever be bothered to keep their fur nice and tidy, especially a cat like Sparrowdad who had so much fur. So annoying that Rosekit had to pick up the slack of her... family. Family who she loved ( did she love? She loved. ) Forgoing any eating, Rosekit padded her way over to Sparrowdad's side and aimed a bap of her paw against his flank, "Were you out on patrol earlier? I don't like it when dirty stuff is tracked into the nest!!!"

Sunnykit bounces around the nursery, looking for something to do. She tries out a few things in fact, she tried playing with the bugs, and she rolled around in some random cat's nest, and played mossball by herself... But the bugs were mean and bit her, the random cat came back to find her which was a bit awkward, and playing mossball without anyone else made her feel really lonely- bringing her to the conclusion that she needs a buddy to play with. However, that's easier said then done. She tends to come off as annoying or overwhelming, a bit intimidating to introverts. The solution? Find an extroverted friend! Shouldn't be too hard, just... look for someone loud? Or talkative? Yup! The fluffy child scans the area around her, her eyes landing on a fluffy tabby pelt, she seems to fit the part! She rushes over to her, a bright smile on her features.
"Hey there! I'm Sunny! Do you like doin' stuff? Oh! And what's your name?" She asks, cheerfully tilting her head to her side as she speaks.

"Hey! I just cleaned up this nest!" The kitten huffed, stomping one of her paws against the moss that lines the nest she was speaking about, and the nest that this random stranger kit just bounced right into without any regard. Though her tail lashed a couple times behind her, Rosekit managed to take a breath because this was an easy fix, it wasn't that messed up and besides Sunnykit seemed to be younger and probably didn't know. "I don't know what you mean by stuff, but what I do like is keeping clean so I would like for you to be more careful. You messed up that part of my family's nest, and now I need to fix it." Rosekit explained, bringing her paws forward to start rumaging with the moss to return it to how it was moments before. "My name is Rosekit, daughter of Spring, and true daughter of Drizzlecloud and Sparrowpelt." The kit introduced with a slight tone of arrogance.
With how cold it had gotten outside and how deep some of the snow had gotten, Honeykit had abandoned his post by the camp exit where he waited for Mum and kes to eventually come back and instead returned to the warm comforts of the nursery. It is strange how big the nest is without Mum and Kes and cold! It's like without them the warm comforting place he once knew was just not the same. However it wasn't all that glum! Honeykit, while out playing in the snow a few nights back, had discovered something called snails! Now at first he'd thought it was some neat looking rock, with all its pretty swirls. A fine gift for a lady like Mum, if he could find her that was. When he had brought it to the nursery in search of someone to gift it to, one of the kind Queen's honoured him with a brief rundown on the small specimen he had stumbled across. Apparently they were supposed to come out of the pretty rock but that had happened yet. Snails, as he had learnt, when common to come by in leafbare so he must be very lucky! He was very proud of his discovery so of course the first thing he did was when he spotted Dad he just had to show him his cool find.
" Dad! Dad, daaad look looky look! Are you looking? Look at this dad!" the words tumbled out loud and chippy as the small torbie kit pranced around the large tom with his snail on display. "It's a snail dad! It's super duper rare and pretty snail, see? It got a cool swirly rock it hides in but it's shy and hasn't come out yet. Do you wanna hold it, here!" Honeykit nudged the snail shell towards the older toms paws and sat down with the proudest smile plastered to his face. " I don't know much about snails but they seem cool right? I heard they are really slow! Slower than me when I try and run through snow! Can you believe that cause I certainly can't! I wanna give it as a gift to mum but she hasn't been here for a while and I can't wait for her outside anymore. Too cold." he had lost his train of thought, hmmm what was he going to say? Oh look!
A squirrel! Food!? Oh yeah he was indeed hungry. While his sister bossed Dad around, Honeykit joined his brother by the squirrel. Driz didn't seem to quite enjoy it so Honey took the responsibility of hogging it to himself. Politely snatching the squirrel from where it had been at his brother unusually and constantly damp paws and Sanji his teeth into it. Driz clearly had no taste, this stuff was great! Warm, chewy and overall amazing. Now he understood all the fuss about prey. " ff you don wan it, Ill eavt it" Honeykit told his brother through a mouthful of fur and squirrel.
