Pineblossom felt the blood rush to her face at the compliment. "Couldn't have done it without you" she mewed. She nudged the squirrel with her paw. "Smaller than the one we ate earlier, but still decent", she analyzed.

Tigerpelt smiled at the she-cat. "I'll dig up a hole and put it in there. We can grab it on our way back to camp," and with that, the warrior took the prey, dug a small and deep hole near the base or the tree and then quickly buried the squirrel.

Pineblossom smiled as she watched Tigerpelt bury the squirrel. She flicked her tail across his nose when he perked back up. She fell back in step with him as they walked deeper into the territory.

Tigerpelt chuckled softly at the flick on his nose and continued into the forest with Pineblossom, his eyes sweeping the area around him, occasionally looking over at the she-cat beside him. She was a really sweet cat to talk to. Tigerpelt purred to himself as they padded deeper into the woods.

Pineblossom enjoyed the time she had been spending with Tigerpelt. He was smart, a great warrior, kind. She purred to herself as they continued into the forest. They eventually stumbled upon the river. Pineblossom looked out at it, the water rushing. She caught a whiff of her mothers scent once more. Her eyes glistened like she was ready to cry. She turned her head into Tigerpelt's shoulder. She took a deep, shuddering breath, as she walked to the bank. "I miss you Flowerheart" she mewed quietly.

Tigerpelt let the warrior lay on his shoulder, his tail wrapping around her as best as it could. He fluffed up his fur, moving closer. "It's okay..let it out," he whispered softly, giving the she-cat a lick against her muzzle. "I'm here."

Pineblossom felt the warmth of Tigerpelt's fur push against her. The tears she had tried to hold back began to fall. She breathed unsteadily for a few moments before regaining her breath and starting to calm down. She gazed at the river. The rock she was standing on when she watched her mother perish in the icy grip of the river. She took a shuddering breath and looked down as she leaned into Tigerpelt.

The warrior sat beside her until she was calm. He listens to her breathing, watching the water infront of them.
