These stupid lousy siblings!!! Windy was peacefully dreaming, when of course her tail got stepped on. Give her a break! She slowly blinked her eyes opened and saw Murky. "Hey! Psst! Where are you going? Mama is gonna be mad." She whispered angrily and she got to her feet. But it seemed as though it didn't hear her.

Fire backed away for a second, scared that the bigger, clearly better fed cat would fight him, but his stomach and the scent of fresh-kill urged him closer.

He tried to look 'big and strong,' but he was too weak and skinny and soon gave up. "Honestly," he admitted, "I need fresh-kill." He didn't want to show weakness, but he needed something to sustain him, and this was his only hope.

What was this mess? Why was this cat acting tough then groveling? Sometimes the cats that this safe place brought to them gave her a headache and she wasn't having any of it today.

However, despite her lack of care for those she doesn't know, her husband's care for all captivated her. She watched him, her expression soft and full of affection, though it quickly hardened as she moved toward the two tom, his green gaze filled with curiosity as he took his place next to Spider, gently brushing against him.

Widow was not too much shorter than Spider, and was definitely as if not more intimidating than Spider. He stayed silent, looking at the stranger through narrow green slits. If he tried anything, the large cat would immediately jump into action to protect Spider at... most... costs.

She turned her gaze to Spider, he knew he'd agree and offer the loner what they could. Her thoughts drifted off Fire and the prey and returned to the thought of Spider's kindness. It fascinated him and she wanted to learn more. From the minute they'd met she'd wanted to study him for the rest of their lives. It took everything for him to not lean forward and press his cheek against her mate's shoulder.

Spider purred as their mate pressed themselves to his side, looking at him and giving his stubborn but charming smile, his golden gaze shifting to Fire. "We can letcha stay, but you'll hafta pull your weight, and that means learning ta hunt. Whatcha say Widow? seem like a good deal?" They looked at her, his beautiful eyes calculating and calm. They would do everything for him, they would move the ends of the earth, even become a kittypet should she need it.

Thanks. The young she-cat purred, dipping her head. My name... It's Aster. She told him, licking her shoulder fur roughly. And yours? She murmured, her eyes softening and her muscles relaxing as she realized this cat wasn't a threat. She sheathed her claws, leaning forward.
