Alright, try this. Softsky mewed. try to pinpoint how far you can jump. Make sure to be aware of your surroundings though. Softsky suggested. She picked up a rock, and placed it about 2 feet away from the apprentice. Jump to the rock. She said. @Snowyfeathr

Featherpaw nodded softly. Her mentor wasn't mad at her for failing? Oh well. "O- okay I c- can d- do that . . ." She went into the hunter's crouch again, this time not needing to move closer as she was already close enough. She prepared to jump, judging her distance from her to the rock, making sure there was nothing that she could land on to make her fall. She then leapt forwards and landed over the rock. She had done it! She turned back to her mentor, her eyes shining slightly. "H- how was t- that . . .?" she asked softly.

Softsky purred. Well done! That was excellent! She praised proudly. Do you think you can jump farther? If she cloud jump farther, she wouldn't have to get so close to her prey. @Snowyfeathr

Featherpaw purred softly. She nodded slightly. "Y- yeah I t- think I can . . ." she mewed. She went farther away from the rock, and then turned and went into the hunter's crouch. She wasn't within pouncing distance of it, but she was going to try and stalk it as if it was a real piece of prey. She slowly crept forwards and, and when she was in pouncing distance, she prepared to jump and then leapt forwards, landing on the rock again, this time having pounced from a further distance. She got up and turned towards her mentor.

Featherpaw nodded softly. She went back to her original spot, went into the hunters crouch again, and crept forwards until she was within pouncing distance. She then leapt again, but this time, she landed wrong and fell to the ground again, on the rock. She got up and shook out her fur. Well that hurt a little bit but she was fine. She turned back towards her mentor.

Softsky glanced around, and spotted a mouse hiding in a bush. She cautiously motioned to it with her tail, carful to to alert the mouse. Go for that one. She murmured softly.
