Tinywolf approached the apprentice in the clearing with a lifted head. "Heya, kiddo! Wanna go out hunting?" she asked with a head tilt. Can't have apprentice's bored, especially in leafbare. They'll be grateful for both more prey and better warriors. What a deal!

The small warrior chucked seeing that she'd startled the apprentice. "My bad." she apologized, swiping her tail over the apprentice's shoulder. "Come along now!" she called, bouncing over and past the camp exit.

She walked through the forest, excitement quivering with her paws. "This is just the general territory if you haven't been here already." Tinywolf explained. She led him a bit farther before pausing and facing him. "Do you already know how to hunt?"

No. I dont know how to hunt He had been waiting fore this day to come he wanted to learn how to hunt

A blank slate! Perfect. "That's what I'm here for." she said, lifting her chin dramatically. The dark grey tabby she-cat dropped into a crouch and turned to look straight ahead. "So what you wanna do is crouch low and stalk forward. Make sure your haunches are low and your tail isn't dragging across the ground." She demonstrated, slithering like a snake around the snow, her soft paw's lightly diggging into the snow without a sound.

Tinywolf bunched her muscles and lept, landing two foxtail lengths away. She got up and looked back to the apprentice. "When you're close enough to your prey, leap and pin it between your unsheathed claws. Got it?"

She inspected the apprentice's posture with a curious look. "Not bad! Make sure you're putting all your weight on your hind legs though!" Tinywolf nodded approvingly, they were a natural! "With that basic out of the way, why don't you try looking for some prey? You want to taste the air with an open mouth to take it allll in." She demonstrated her mouth hanging open and her chest rising and falling. The grey tabby she-cat guestered her head towards the apprentice. "Go ahead."

Berrypaw opened his moth and try to sent prey. He smelled all the forests smells the first grass growing as a sign to the new leaf was coming. Then he smelled it, it was a mouse. He started slowly sneaking towards the smell complitly cuiet. He jump but in the last second the mouse run away. O no i am so bad. He said out loud. @nyx

Tinywolf watched with interest as the apprentice seemed to find something. She looked closer and she was able to see a mouse rustling in the grass. She felt herself frown when the apprentice missed it. "Bad luck. It's alright." It was lucky that the apprentice was able to find something in the cold but bad luck that they couldn't catch it. "When your dealing with mice you need to make sure your paws are very very quiet. You know, like how I showed you."

The she-cat waved her tail dismissively. It's probably better if they don't practice on real prey, the clan would be missing out then. "How about this, I'll walk around and you have to sneak up on me and catch me as if I was a mouse!" she offered. That seemed like a fun little game.

Yes!Berrypaw said. He stopped thinking abaout bad luck he had whit the mouse and started concentrating on the new game. This was the first really funny thing he had done then he had been a kit, Sneaking up on a warrior. @nyx
