Silentpaw subtly froze when Flytail approached him, blinking up at the warrior. 'Least annoying'? What was that supposed to mean? Was he supposed to take that as a compliment, or be annoyed that he thought everyone else here was annoying? He settled for a secret third option; staying quiet. Though, when Flytail mentioned Owlthroat, he perked up slightly. The capable Enforcer, as well as one of his distant kin. Were he and Fltail close?

"Friend?" He ended up asking, curiosity getting the best of him. He shifted his position slightly so he was just barely facing the dark-furred feline beside him, gaze deadpanned as usual.

Fighting without sight? Sounded fun; she loved a challenge, and she was always up for a spar. Doeflame padded towards Hazycry, fur fluffed up in a futile effort to ward off the cold. That was the downside of participating in this event; she would have to deal with the freezing temperature. But while a part if her wanted to curl up in the warmth of the warrior's den, she needed to get out and move so she wouldn't go stir-crazy. And this was a great way to do something fun (and useful, of course) without leaving camp.

Flytail’s expression softened slightly at the mention of Owlthroat, his tone losing some of its usual bite. “Brothers,” he said, a touch quieter this time. “We’ve had our ups and downs, but he’s a good cat. Solid. You can count on him when it matters.” His eyes flicked over to the distance, as if reflecting on something unspoken, before he added, “He’s always had my back, even when I didn’t deserve it.” There was a rare hint of something almost affectionate in his voice, though it quickly disappeared behind his usual guarded demeanor
