The haven. (Ice-Ottercold)

Close to the Twolegsplace, a safe haven, not too close to most forest predators although dogs were still an occasional threat and twolegs a nuisance.
It was a nice clearing where a large, tall cedar, inside its large roots, a small system of tunnels, where a few cats could comfortably live and sleep in, as they weren't too deep and were safely supported by the roots.

Injured and weak, he was. He hated this, he deserved it for attacking his leader, Twilightstar, but he still refuses to acknowledge it.
He limped, almost dragging himself, the deep gash on his side throbbed painfully, although he managed to staunch the bleeding a bit with a piece of
moss.
"Brother mine? Are you around here?" He weakly rasped out, his sly and slightly high-pitched voice sounded more like a caw of a sickly crow.
"...I need your help," he finally admited as much as he hated it. He didn't like asking for help, specially not from his brother. Maybe he'll get scolded for it, like whenever he got when younger from being too reckless.
He panted heavily, just now realizing how truly weak he is, a bit light-headed and dizzy from the blood he lost, hated by a clan, and exhausted from trotting out of WindClan's territory, and where he hoped Ice still was.
He sniffed the air. His brother's scent seemed fresh, but it truly was? Or was it a mirrage? Ottercold couldn't really trust his nose right now.

Ice was present yet watching from the shadows as a familliar cat entered his view. He couldn't trust it immediately, so he watched cautiously as the sound he's known the most revealed itself from the not foreign cat. "Otter. You return for my assistance after abandoning me?" he muttered, crawling out from somewhere.
"I'm always here to welcome you with open paws, but don't leave and come crawling back again, okay?"

Ottercold was about to put up some excuses, but ultimately decided against it. "...No, brother. I won't leave you again." He was being honest, the fact Ice is even willing to help him was enough for him to feel too guilty to abandon him again.
His paws gave in under him, he fell helplessly on the ground, his injured
body shivering in pain and exhaustion as he panted, trying to catch his breath. He tried to stand up, barely managing to, barely keeping balance.
He was deeply grateful to Ice right now, saved despite his own traitorous actions.
