This stupid little furball. It's like he doesn't even see what a threat she is. What a weapon. Salamanderpaw wants to thrash him so badly. Then he'd know better than to be all nonchalant and persistent when she's clearly not the cat to mess with tonight. It's like he doesn't even care about all that and she's so angry that she could just scream and what's even worse is that when Salamanderpaw imagines pummeling him into the ground she just starts getting scared that he wouldn't even care about that either, just keep on smirking like he thinks he's so cool, and—and then what would she do? What could she possibly do??
Who does this idiot even think he is? She—aw, great, she's shaking. Salamanderpaw's admittedly never understood what 'seeing red' is supposed to be like but she thinks she's starting to get the picture now. Luckily her little fit is something she could likely pass off as shivering from the cold, but it's still embarrassing, no, mortifying to realize that some fresh-faced little kitten has really gotten her so wound up that her insides are all twisted and her skin feels itchy and her whole coat is bristling like she's just seen a badger.
And still she doesn't do the smart thing. Still she doesn't just leave. After all, when was the last time she had an excuse to be like this to somebody? She gets angry at Seapaw from time to time, but she always feels horrible about it in the end. She'd tried to take it out on Slugpaw, only to start feeling guilty about it with Seapaw and Rainpaw there. Any time she gets frustrated with her clanmates she can only think about how much they've all endured and how hard everyone is trying in spite of it all and she just feels rotten and despicable about getting cross at them because it's really not fair for her to do that, ever, but this guy??
This guy just sucks and there's no one here (yet, anyway) to make her feel bad about thinking so and acting on it and that's kind of awesome.
This is kind of awesome.
It's awesome, and she hates it, and she's still a little bit scared—odd eyes scan the crowd...she doesn't know that tom is dead yet, doesn't think she could keep her cool if she saw him, talk about a real weapon—but it doesn't stop her from being egged on.
"Alright, well, obviously you're an idiot. My console—, er, con-dol-en-ces to your clan. An idiot and a snitch. See how many friends you wind up with like that, Cougarsnot." Still, she shoots a furtive look toward her clanmates. Hopefully no warriors are within earshot. A little bit of meantalking is allowed, right? It's not like she's actually hurting him. And if he can't take it then he can go. But she's glad the little irritant isn't going anywhere just yet, to tell on her or otherwise. That just means she can keep being awful to him for absolutely nothing. No guilt, no remorse, no icky feeling in her belly.
You’re really fun to be around when you’re being weird. Hhhwhat. What is he doing. Is this some kind of joke? He's mocking her or something? Salamanderpaw doesn't bother to mask her confusion, hitting a dramatic double-take and leaning in like she might need him to repeat that. Stars almighty, he really isn't bothered even the tiniest bit. He's just talking like this is a normal conversation and Salamanderpaw isn't really sure how to do that right now. Thrashing him is out of the question and so is leaving, so, what?
"You—you're—stupid. That was a really stupid thing to say, I hope you know." It sounds lame even to her, but it feels good. "And good. You're not going anywhere until I say so, and I'll say so after you're done choking on sea foam." Back to the threats that she has no intention of delivering on, but then she needs something else, something to keep him here, so she quickly throws in: "Can you even fight yet? What is it that makes you think you're so special, huh?"
Burnedbark stumbled forward when he felt an impact. He turned to see an apprentice, one he recognized but couldn’t pull up the name. The orange she-cat had been a den mate of his, but he didn’t spend a lot of time with her when he was an apprentice. His expression gave nothing away, like the surface of undisturbed water. “It’s okay.” He mewed smoothly. Stepping aside so she could sit next to him if she wanted. “You okay?” He asked, tilting his head to the side. He couldn’t fathom why she acted like he was about to strike her.
Sunrisepaw padded up behind Horizonpaw, sitting on the other side of Hailpaw. She caught the tail end of her rambles, and rolled her eyes visibly. “Oh c’mon, Horizonpaw. Don’t you remember hearing about when Spiderthroat’s kids infiltrated a Gathering?” She retorted, though…she sounded a great deal more confident than she felt.

Primroseadder let Mosspaw press against her, touching her nose to her apprentice's head as she comforted both Mosspaw and Rosemarypaw. ''Make sure to listen to the leaders whenever ShadowClan and WindClan arrive. I'm sure that they'll want to get the Gathering over with quickly since it's so cold.''

Why the hell did she show? There was no obligation…it just felt like she’d be looked down on if she didn’t go to at least one gathering. But this…this place was her living hell. She already hated groups, they made her squirmy. So many voices, so many conversations, too much going on. She hated it since she was little, even if it was just a family gathering. But now? Especially now it made her itch and squirm and want to run.
Deep breaths- look for a familiar face…she couldn’t bother BerryShine with the medicine cats…she was an actually important cat. Maybe Shallow?…Bumbles was gone and- oh. Her little guy! She padded up to her little brother, though her eyes were pleading, desperate even as she quickly looked around, her ears flinching down at every noise. “H-hey…Raccoons…ca-can I s-s-sit…with you?” CrowPaw was in clear distress, her paws shifting and a single tear dropped from her eye to the ground. Don’t make a scene…she could hardly bring herself to acknowledge the apprentice by her brother.

Raccoonpaw smiled widely "That's such a cool name- butterflies are super pretty" He said with a laugh, though his expression changed into one of concern as one of his older sisters' approached him.
He flashed an uneasy smile, looking her up and down "Yeah! Of course! It's pretty cold out- so the more the merrier" He said, patting the snow beside him with a paw, lifting his pale green gaze to meet hers.
His gaze shifted to Butterflypaw for a moment before he leaned over to his sister "You okay?" He asked, barely above a whisper, his gaze falling on Crowpaw as he waited for a response.

Oh! A complement! Nice! "Thanks! Yours is cool too!" Butterflypaw replied, before she noticed someone else approaching.
Mmm, with the appearance, possibly related to Raccoonpaw, also with the nickname when she asked to sit.
Butterflypaw kept quiet for a moment, after Raccoonpaw asked if the other cat was okay.
This is something she shouldn't add her own words in.
So, for now, she kept quiet, and tried not to look too curious.

~~~~Ocean blue eyes scanned the gathering area, overwhelmed with all the cats, they had never bothered to go to a gathering but decided to this time, he was curious of how the other clans looked, and the leaders and if everything was alright lately in the clans, no fights, no problems, just a good clan life, not like it used to be, traveling with riverclan and finally finding a spot where riverclan would live, only to take a hike back and find a different spot that we now call home, they didn't like looking back at the old clan life but it was something you couldn't help but to remember now, but it was just something in the past at this moment, something that wasn't really a concern anymore.
Seabunny padded over to an empty spot, not really looking to socialize it seemed but they really wanted to actually, it was fun to have someone with you when your nervous or overwhelmed, but at this moment, it was just another time being alone, like most of the time, they were used to it but still, felt awful being lonely suddenly, they had never felt this way. Never felt this...cold.
