Cold.

Really cold.

The Riverclan leader padded forward briskly, her breathing short and husky, seen by spurts of moisture in the cool air. She glanced behind her clan every so often, one eyed gaze flicking back to face the group of cats behind her, excluding Berryshine of course.

There was an absence of the silver bengal. Owlstar believed that bringing her would only cause more outburst, something that might already happen with the news of the Starcave, and if not that, definitely Stormstar's death.

Chilled snow pierced into her paw pads like small icy blades as she walked, unsheathing her claws to better grip the ground. Once the tall rocky structure was finally in sight, the leader paused, raising her tail to let those behind her know she was stopping. She turned around, her gaze landing onto her medicine cat for a moment, before she scanned the clan (a group of cats that looked quite blurry in the dim lighting). "Riverclan! I ask no more of ya other than ta be the great clan I know ya are. If anycat causes any form a problem, best believe I'll be givin' ya a talkin' ta."

With her words expressed, she padded out into the beach and immediately gritted her teeth against the cold. She looked to Seastones, icy and glittering with frost. Owlstar nearly cursed. She turned to Berryshine (wherever she was) and made a face. "It probably ain't safe ta go up there." She padded up to the group of stones, and used her unsheathed claws to swipe at it. For one, it hurt, a lot, icy trembles going straight into her skin, and for two, there was no form of grip. If the cold wasn't bad then, it certainly was now.

"Well... We cain't just sit 'ere n' do nothin' 'bout it." She said, to nocat in particular. "Aye squirt?" She turned again. Jeez, she was doing a lot of turning. She then smiled toothily. "Wanna go rock huntin'? Go fetch whatever hard thing ya can find, I'll come with ya." She then turned to the cats gathered around her, her voice raising. "Aye! I encourage all of ya ta huddle close, specially if ya got a thin pelt. Other than that, go find some rocks, somecats oughta break the ice or we'll do announcements in the snow." But she was sure standing on an icy ledge was worse.

Yet another gathering, and he wondered who's throat will be threatened this time. Likely Riverclan's, comes Seabreeze's next thought with a tired sigh. With Greyowl's helpful little stunt, the water clan may just be in hot water with Windclan once more, and they already knew that Windclan was not the pushover as many people seem to think they are. His eyes flickered up towards Owlstar, the she giving a final warning before the clan was to disperse among the seastones. What would the other clans say after Stormstar was yet another failure in their long line of them. The warrior sighed, and started to look around for anyone to talk to.

Oh, there's Rowanmane, the former lionheart has become a friend to Seabreeze in recent moons and the grey-blue feline had started to look forward to speaking with him. Only for a different cat to swoop in and take his attention. Well then. Instead, Seabreeze found a seat towards the shadier side of the gathering place.

Icepaw

Icepaw raced into the open space, a loud, but excited yollar leaving em after Owlstar gave the warning and set them free. This was his first-ever gathering! And it was going to be so cool! He just knew it! He giggled and whipped his head around as he tried to spy what could possibly the best spot, the only downside so far was that the other clans weren't here yet. He wanted to see if all the stories he's heard are true or not!

Oh... no no no, no thank you. The gathering place was so big and Rosemarypaw was so small. And Where was Adderkind, she said that the other clans wanted to hurt RC. It was scary, did they have to attend? The apprentice looked around desperately for someone that he knew, and eventually grey eyes landed on Primroseadder, Rosemarypaw promptly came over and more or less tried to bury out of sight by hiding in the warrior's fur.

"Could you tell me more about gatherings, Rai- I mean Floodpaw?" The former kittypet asks as he follows his best friend after their large group of cats. Something about a clan meet up, but Honeypaw thought the clans hated each other so that didn't really make sense. But most clan things aren't making sense yet, but they will.

Soaringpaw...didn't actually want to be there. She felt like she needed to know what the other clans are doing..to be more aware. It was cold and uncomfortable. But she can't just avoid it. So she just quietly followed as usual, holding herself low among the crowds as her tail was close to herself. Her white and grey fur didn't stand out against the white snow and the dim night. Last gathering the clan hadn't come. What did she miss? What did she need to know? Riverclan themselves would be bringing some..interesting news. And she wasn't sure how the other clans would react. She wasn't sure whether how the gathering would go and she didn't know how the other clans would feel about riverclan's change in leaders. She still didn't want to sit near any of them, though. While she wasn't one to sit near her clan either, the freezing air wasn't pleasant to sit in and the snow was also damp and cold

When the clan arrived, she took notice of the frozen stones. Rocks to break the ice? She wasn't even sure if that's gonna work. Wouldn't the stone still be slippery? At that point she felt it'd be better to just talk from the snow; But as long as she's not the one going up there, she was fine. She took her gaze towards the rest of the clan to see where they were sitting. She really didn't want ot get close to anyone. But it's either that, she freezes of she goes rock hunting. Three of which she didn't exactly like. But she came for the news of the other clans and it was too late to turn back now. How to solve this issue, Soaringpaw wasn't sure but she sort of just..sat a few steps closer to the clan than she usually sits, wrapping her tail around her paws. Good enough

...in the end she quietly inched closer to the rest since she was too cold and her fur wasn't that long. Does it actually help much? Eh...

brr! The dilute calico shook his pelt before sitting on the ground. Phew, tonight's a cold one eh? No worries, he has long fur so surely this won't affect him as much had he been short furred. Although he's always burning during green-leaf. Oh, he wanted to collect stones, though! "Sounds fun" he quickly looked through the snow, moving his paws through the frosty crystals. There ya go! He found one before walked up to Owlstar and....boy he looked so ready to chuck it at the ice as hard as possible

Holly'Snow padded into the clearing after Owl'Star "stupid cold" she muttered grumpily, she scanned the area, no other clan had arrive 'ha! slowpokes' she though to herself before looking around for a warm place to sit.

She spotted her brother towards the back of the cats pouring into the clearing, she nodded towards him before padding off to Rowanmane. "Heya! Mind if I sit here, it's soo cold and quite honestly I'm doing both of us a favour" she mews eyeing the tom.

He grumpily trodded towards the clearing, clearly having any excitement for the gather; he'd rather curl up and sleep peacefully.. not that he was lazy, he just hated the cold, it made him feel weak and useless. His sister; Holly'Snow nodded at him, instead of reciprocating, Storm'soul rolled his eyes at her before looking away; He was in no mood to act 'nice'.

After what felt like moons he found a spot near a buch which was farther away from the other warriors, the bush blocked the sharp winds that were howling in the sky. He settled down, setting his deep blue eyes upon some shrubs, waiting for the other clans to arrive.

Primroseadder made her way into the clearing, shifting on her paws even when she sat down. It was rather freezing, tonight, but it also seemed that RiverClan was the first to be here. She gave Owlstar a firm nod---not just out of respect, but out of encouragement, too.

Redsurge followed her Clanmates onto Seastones, her feathery tail swaying behind her. She glanced over her shoulder for her apprentice---Shallowpaw---to see whether or not he was following her.

''Stick close to me, Shallowpaw,'' The warrior mewed as she searched around for bigger chunks of rock that were easy to carry yet would break the ice. ''It's too cold---not for me, necessarily---and I want to protect you; We've been working on your hutning skills more than your combat ones because it's leaf-bare.''

ugh. another gathering. the one-eyed apprentice didn't like gatherings one bit, especially in this freezing weather. but it's been a while since he's been to one, and he wanted to find out what was happening in other clans. Floodpaw reluctantly followed owlstar to the seastones, the small warrior-aged apprentice fluffing out their fur to prevent the winds from freezing them to death. Floodpaw spotted his friend, honeypaw, among the crowd. he hoped nothing went wrong for their first gathering. But it felt like he was being avoided lately, so floodpaw sped up his trot until he reached honeypaw. "yer keepin me warm," he said, half-jokingly. As the gathering area came into view, he saw that riverclan was the first to arrive. floodpaw took a seat amongst his clanmates, staying close to honeypaw as well. "how is it even possible to be so damn chilly? i don't remember leafbare last season-cycle being freezing, although i was a lil one then," the apprentice cursed, muttering the last part to himself. he much preferred Greenleaf thank you very much. the tabby turned his head as his friend asked him a question. "Well, ev'ry full moon the clans gather here - the seastones - n exchange news. leaders would sit up there, deputies there, n medics there," floodaw said, using his paw to point out where each of the high ranks would sit. "but as ya can see, its frozen. so i dont think anyone sittin there this gatherin," the small cat said, shuffling their paws.

Primroseadder felt a muzzle burying into her thick fur---which was fluffed up fully against the freezing chill---and she turned to see who it was.

Oh. It was Rosemarypaw, Adderstrike's apprentice---or was her former mentor's apprentice. If Primroseadder remembered correctly, Adderstrike had been given Rosemarypaw and Drizzlepaw whenever she had still been training her.

''Hi,'' She purred softly, touching her nose to Rosemarypaw's head all the while wrapping her tail around the young apprentice. ''Cold, are ya?''
