He felt his face lift then deflate as Void answered him. "A snake? To eat?" he wrinkled his nose in disgust. He was hungry but..not that hungry. "That's okay, I won't take your..food." Quinn shuffled away from the pile of rocks but closer to Void. He laid with his paws underneath him, looking at the dark colored rouge from a tilted head. "So you just sleep here? Alone?" he asked, eyes widening for dramatic effect.

Tucked beneath a dumpster was a small kitten, barely past weaned. They stirred slightly, pressing against a wheel in hopes of finding warmth against the bitter winter air - to no avail.
" Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now"
great spirts it was cold outside and with the wind? he'd sure he'd be done and frozen by now, but he was still out walking around in the snow like some maniac not like cats haven't called him crazy before, but he needed a place to hunker down and stay warm.
Yet something caught quills eye a small orange and black kit hardly a newborn pressed tightly against a dumpster Oh spirits... he meowed walking over quickly 'Who would leave such a young kit out here alone? where was its mother?' Quill couldn't leave the kit out here alone. The kit would die if it stayed here any longer. Swiftly Quill picked up the kit in his maw before rushing off to find a warm place to stay.
They were plucked and squeaked in protest, but quickly realized there was WARMTH to be had. The kit wiggled in Quill's grip only to burrow into his fluff; asylumed from the worst of the cold weather. They'd forgive his transgressions for now.
" Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now"
Quill looked around for some place to stay and hunker down anyplace would do as long as it wasnt made of ice or snow. Quill kept the kit as close to his body as he could as he looked around even looking upwards without moving the kit too much As quill looked around he noticed a small broken window in the old hotel Perfect! Now he just had to get up there quill carefully made his way up on a few boxes, then a dumpster, then an old fire escape then he made it to the window and entered being extra careful to not have the kit touch any of the broken glass.
Quill looked around the room. It was old and didnt smell great, but it would do to keep out of the wind for now. Quill set the kit down at his paws and wrapped his tail around it before he let out a long sigh “ Heya kit…Uhh are you okay? why was he talking to the kit like it could talk back? He didnt care too much he just was hoping the kit was okay
@BEAR.
Apparently they were going on a journey, but the tiny tot couldn't fully grasp all the movement and instead focused on the black and brown fluff that engulfed them. It was warm, and that was clearly more important than being kit-napped.
The kitten tucked in and nosed through Quill's fur, looking to nurse. Their only response to Quill's question was little purrs.
" Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now"
Was the kit trying to nurse? Dear goodness the kit already looked at the right age to not be doing this barley “ Hey kiddo Look i aint got milk IM a tom cat, and i think- Hoped you are at the right age of eating some solid foods SO! I'm going to go try to find some food okay…You- Uh…” he had to think where to put the kit to keep it warm, quill looked around the room and noticed a small housefolk nest with a blanket on it, that should be good to wrap the kit up in till hes back. Quill made sure to hop onto the nest to make sure the dust was blown off before he jumped back down and put the kit in the blanket Okay kid stay here and im going to go get you some food okay? he meowed, jumping down and making it over to the window looking back for a small moment.
@BEAR.
There were a lot of words the kit didn't care about, but they understood the sensation of warmth leaving. Just like mama!
Yeah, they were on a blanket now but it wasn't the same! The blanket didn't generate the heat they so coveted! With a little "weh" of protest the kit wiggled toward Quill's retreating form, but the larger cat's stride was too fast for them to catch up.
With a huff the kit looked around, blinking at the unfamiliar surroundings that slowly morphed into shapes. They didn't know what they were looking at but these things looked weird, and that definitely meant they needed to check it out now that they weren't totally frozen. The kit began to wobble toward one of the objects - a worn armchair - with the intent to try to climb it.
" Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now"
Was this kit trying to give him grey hairs??? Quill stepped back from the window whispering a silent prayer to the spirits that this kit could stay still long enough for him to go find some food even a small mouse would do…Maybe he could find one in the building, the place was abandoned after all. Quill grabbed the kit by the scruff and loved it up the chair because that's where it wanted to be apparently. Now he was off to find food again “ Stay. he said with a flick off his tail as he sniffed around the room hoping that the spirits would throw him a bone.
@BEAR. So sorry it took a while to respond to
Comet was walking down the street with a shiver, fluffing out her pelt. She mumbled something under her breath, padding along through the snow. She half-wished that she should've just found someplace to stay a while ago, but she had insisted to start traveling more.
The she-cat turned into an alley, curling up under some cardboard boxes with a yawn. She was tired, and her paws were numb, so it was a perfect time to nap...right?
