MidnightRose smiled. "Beautiful job both of you! You may pick some flowers while I gather the prey." She nodded towards them.

She walked over to where she saw Nettlepaw catch a rabbit and bury it. She dug until the light color of the rabbits fur came to view. She picked it up in her mouth and gathered all of the other prey.

Ashpaw huffed,
“Flowers? I don’t need flowers.. stupid.. uhm..” They were suddenly very fixated on a patch of smaller forget-me-nots, which seemed.. oddly enchanting to the apprentice. Quickly unburying their mouse, they also plucked a few of the flowers. Maybe they’d decorate their nest with them. They were so blue, and.. weirdly enigmatic to them. Like they had come from Starclan itself.

Nettlepaw didn’t look at Ashpaw as their sibling fawned over the blue flowers. Instead, they collected some lavender and aster, dotting the flowers in their fur. It made them smell nice and look pretty, so they liked it. Once Ashpaw had finished plucking their forget-me-nots, Nettlepaw looked to Midnightrose;
“Should we.. go back.. to.. camp?”

MidnightRose nodded through a mouthful of prey. She turned around swiftly and flicked her tail. She started to walk, checking back to see if they were coming. They had picked beautiful flowers. She had missed her youth. Running whenever she wanted, and being mischievous. She wished she was still an apprentice. @kairosclerosis

The siblings both followed Midnightrose, holding their respective catches in their jaws. Ashpaw had been forced to keep their forget-me-nots in their fur, and Nettlepaw sneaked frequent looks at them with a mischevious glint in their gaze, almost as if the green-eyed apprentice was holding in a laugh. Their sibling did look nice, yes, but it was unusual to see Ashpaw with any sort of accessory to their tangly pelt.
