Birchfur looked over to Applepaw, flicking an ear curiously.
“Oh, alright then, I’ll spar. Hope you do well on your assessment, too.” He mewed agreeably.
Standing up now, he continued;
“I’m ready when you are.”

"Yippee!!" The apprentice bounced back to give some starting space with the warrior before crouching down into a defensive position. Alright, this was just practice but this was a spar to practice defending himself against enemy warriors. He grinned and narrowed his eyes at the warrior, and nodded "Thanks! I hope to pass it in one!" But even before the final word fell from her muzzle, Applepaw was rushing forward. Feinting a swing of a paw to the right, she attempted to change her sheathed blow to the warrior's left shoulder instead, shifting her other paws to try and spring back after the attack.

Birchfur quickly spotted the sheathed attack and attempted a duck and twist move in order to avoid it. The cream warrior swiftly ducked down, rolling over before springing back to his paws, and lunged to swipe at Applepaw’s ear with a sheathed paw before steadying backwards out of the way.

Applepaw growled as the warrior managed to dodge her first attack easily. Well to be fair it was incredibly standard, so maybe a little creative twist would do the trick. As the warrior rolled, the apprentice ducked down low, and as the warrior shot out for her ears, the apprentice pounced forward, planning to tackle and kick the warrior’s chin straight up with the force of her front paws slamming into it.

the black pelted female trotted out into the clearing and sat down, grooming her fur. once she had smoothed her fur down, the warrior closed her green eyes and rested her head on her paws, dozing off.

DuckFeather was sitting in the clearing, grooming her (excessively) fluffy pelt. She complained about tangles quite a lot, but in leaf-bare? Boy was she grateful for the extra lick of warmth!
