She laughed as she looked down at the other kit, adjusting herself only slightly so that she was once again looking down at her. "Not a rabbit? Hah, well you sure look like one right now!" She giggled, a venomous grin on her face. "I'M not gonna be eaten! I'm gonna be the strongest warrior ever! You don't look like you're gonna be able to even take on a KIT when you're bigger!" Her tail lashed, unsheathing her tiny claws almost as challenge to the other kit to do something about it.

Owlthroat
he/him | Shadowclan Enforcer | 43 moons Killer Aptitude T3 - Just A Scratch - Silver Tongue T2 The Dancing Bird
Owlthroat softened at his brother’s words further. His ears flickering in the cool breeze, ”It’s where you belong brother.” He was meant to be a warrior of Shadowclan just as much as Owlthroat was. Their bond, one that stood firm through time. Despite their bickering and squabbling, despite their coldness towards each other at times. Deep down, Owlthroat knew just how much he truly did rely on him. Of course he had his family now, but Flytail was his true remaining kin. They’d scraped up together through the years, becoming steadfast members of the clan. It almost amused him to see Flytail show a hint of Owlthroat’s own rebelliousness in his actions. A stupid decision yes, but not something completely barbaric.
The tom’s paws shuffled underneath him, ”You ever thought about it? Becoming a father?” His thoughts turned surprisingly introspective. Owlthroat typically kept these things reserved, hidden behind a masked interior. But the thoughts swarmed his mind on a daily basis, he’d never anticipated this kind of life for himself. He didn’t simply have his own mouth to feed anymore, he’d been given a position of power. A position of respect.
”It’s nice, having a legacy. Something to leave behind, but it haunts me.” A long pregnant pause as he considered his next words, shell cracking. ”Knowing they could slip through my paws, perish at Starclan’s will.” The tom’s head lowered slightly, nostrils flaring as he regained his composure. Flytail was privileged to hear these thoughts, words never spoken aloud. They burned his egotistical tongue to admit.

Flytail pondered his brothers words for a few minutes he had considered being a father but he would have to meet the right lady. But before he could answer another warriors name crossed his mind..Bristlethorn..she seemed to be the only cat other than his brother who could handle him..”Ive had my eye on bristlethorn for a while now..she’s about the only cat who can tolerate me though I have been a bit rude to her lately..I should probably apologize for that”he said his blue eyes looking around. “What’s it like being a father how’s tufted?”

Jaggedsky took another bite of the mouse and looked back at Graynight. He seemed perfectly comfortable with the silence. That was nice. Alot of cats either talked all the time, or not at all. Both made for tiring conversations. This one was relaxing though.
She swallowed and lay her head on her chin. Her tail swished silently in the undergrowth behind her.
He took another bite, the mouse was rather small and was already almost eaten. "You can have the last bit if you want," He meowed. After he said that he went silent again, licking his paw and drawing it over his face, beginning to groom himself. Pushing through the undergrowth had made his pelt messy and he hadn't groomed yet today so now was a perfect time to do so.

"Thanks," Jaggedsky's eyes twinkled, and her nose scrunched up as she smiled. She bit the last of the meat off of the mouse. Even though the mouse had been small, and shared no less, she felt full. A content sigh escaped her.
She leaned her head down and rested in on her paws. "Graynight," she meowed softly, her voice muffled comfortably by the cold. There was a small, almost unnoticeable pause. What should she ask him? It couldn't be too personal, but she hated small talk.
"Do you like being a warrior? I mean, it's different then when we were apprentices." Not only was it a big change for her from being an apprentice, but also, she had had different expectations for what being a warrior was when she was an apprentice.

Graynight tilted his head to the side, thinking. "I like being a warrior," He began slowly. "It is a lot different, you're right. It's been a lot less exciting then I expected it to be, I thought warriors knew everything but I'm still finding stuff to learn." He let out a mrrrow of amusement.
"How do you like it? Is it everything you had hoped it would be?" He asked softly, his eyes trained on her as he waited for the other warriors response.
