Daywhisper padded into camp, Holly following closely behind her. He dropped his prey before bowing his head to her and walking away. Daywhisper let out a soft sigh, it was such a relief to have him interacting with her once again. After finding out about his real father he'd shut the she-cat out, but it seemed after moons of trying, she finally was making progress with him.

She never dared speak of Crow or Snape around him though, fearing all the progress made would be destroyed and they'd go back to square one. She watched him disappear into the apprentices' den before relaxing. Her green gaze drifted over the camp as she now looked for something to keep her entertained for the rest of her night.

Whiteflame sighed. Days came and went and he started to feel older. The days started to grow colder making everyone grouchy. Mostly everyone. Some cats were up and about waiting for something. He wasn't very grumpy, just tired. But, that couldn't stop him from having fun! As he looked around, his eyes met. With DayWhisper. Oh! They had been getting closer and he had to admit he liked her. More than friends. He knew not to tell her, because he didn't know if she had the same feelings. He didn't want to be hurt. Whiteflame jumped up and walked over. "Nice day?" @seeingstars

Daywhisper hadn't seen him approach, her fur puffed up in surprise for a moment before she realized how silly it was to freak out in her own camp where he was safe... for the most part at least. She quickly groomed her fur down, greeting him with a sheepish smile "Hello Whiteflame" She said, a soft purr rising in her throat as she turned her entire body to face him.

She'd only talked to him a handful of times since their first true interaction right after Holls and Falls were made apprentices, but despite this, they'd grown closer over the last few moons. Daywhisper had never felt a feeling that she was confident about, she often would sit, second-guessing any feelings she had until they felt meaningless. She did, however, know she liked this tom, unsure in what ways though she wouldn't dare push past that. She was a married lady after all... I guess...

Guilt tugged at her stomach at her hesitation over Crow and their entire relationship, Daywhisper had been young when they met, she had less responsibilities to take care of, then she got pregnant... then her kits were born, then she finally was assigned a couple of apprentices. A soft sigh escaped her maw, she wished she could just understand her feelings and be able to navigate them without struggle, but for now, she had to work with what she had.

It finally dawned on her, after a few moments of being lost in thought, that he'd not just greeted her but asked her a question "Oh! Mm- I suppose, been very busy preparing for leaf-bare... dreading the cold weather" She said, a dry laugh escaping her maw "How about yourself? How has your day been?" She asked softly, a friendly smile plastered on her maw.

Whiteflame smiled. Her smile was everything. Could light up the whole clan. It was so warm he didn't feel cold anymore. "Y-yeah! I've been alright. It's just getting colder by the day." He told the Molly. It was true. He swear he could freeze out here! "Well, heard the sunset is supposed to be pretty tonight. Would you like to watch with me?" @seeingstars

She picked up something in his gaze, she couldn't quite put her paw on it though. Was that a hint of adoration? perhaps something else? Her chest fluttered at the thought. The thought of someone possibly liking her set off butterflies deep within the she-cat's stomach. She took a slow deep breath, trying to keep her composure despite bouncing internally.

She nodded "It certainly is... Soon all the Windclan warriors are going to have to huddle together in the den just to keep warm" She joked, playfully sticking her tongue out. His next question confirmed her suspicions, at least in her mind it did.

She quirked a brow, her smile being replaced with something a little more playful "Well well well, Whiteflame, are you asking me out?" Daywhisper responded teasingly, flicking her ear before continuing without giving him a real chance to respond "I'd love to, it sounds lovely" She finished with a purr, gracefully rising to her paws, looking toward the younger warrior.

Whiteflame blushed. Before he had time to respond she spoke. She wanted to? "Alright. We can grab some prey before we go. I've been starving." He chuckled. His bobbed tail lightly swished from side to side. He remembered why he was named Whtieflame. Well, he was white and had flame like patterns on his body. One 'flame' covered half of his face. He had one spent hours staring at his own reflection trying to see if he looked good. If he was ugly. It felt like something erupted in him. He was about to speak but he stopped himself. Whiteflame was gonna say 'I bet the sunset is as pretty as you.' To trease her, but it was probably true. DayWhisper was usually pretty and always looked breathtaking. @seeingstars

She nodded with a purr, padding towards the fresh-kill pile "wanna split a rabbit?" She called back, tilting her head as her gaze rested on Whiteflame. He was a fairly handsome tom, she'd never really thought anything of him until they'd started hunting together. From there, their relationship had only grown. Did she like him back? Maybe...? She certainly found him sweet, caring, and an excellent Windclan warrior, but was there anything more than that?

She sighed softly, she'd figure it out eventually, right? That's when she noticed something else, what was that? Daywhisper squinted, her green gaze focussed on his, he was holding back, but what could he possibly not be saying? The large warrior quirked a brow but ultimately didn't say anything. She calmly waited for his response.
