Silverrose watched in silence as her apprentice soon enough located a wild rabbit skittering about the moors, which didn't come as a big surprise to the warrior. Barleypaw had always proven to be particularly well-versed in hunting, and she had no doubt she would succeed in this as well. Only when her apprentice seemed to pause, did Silverrose crouch and creep up beside her, speaking lowly as to not scare off the prey;
"Catch it,"

Feeling her mentor move over beside her the blind molly kept her face in the direction of the rabbit. She flickered her ear to let Silverrose know she heard her before moving closer to the rabbit. Once she was as close as she could she darted forward it became alerted and skidded off.
Barleypaw ran after it. It got faster and faster. Her head began to spin and she tried to pounce, but ended up missing it by a couple inches. It stopped for a quick second twitching its nose before leaving altogether. She stopped, her tail flickering causing dirt to get picked up. She moved towards Silverrose. "Sorry I was more focused on hearing it I hadn't realized how far the distance I was from it.", she meowed. Barleypaw had become nervous which was how she missed it.
She couldn't help, but feel awful that she couldn't catch it. She had done so well with hunting before. Why couldn't she get this one? She guessed she couldn't be perfect at everything.

Silverrose spoke quietly as to not alert any more prey of their presence.
"Your stance was good, but you need to get closer. You cannot give it a chance to create too much distance between you two. Focus on how close the source of its scent is, and how well you can hear it move about. A bite to its neck is most efficient to end its life, as it is with most prey."
Her whiskers twitched, stepping back again to give Barleypaw space.
"Try again."
