Starlingcall's ears twitch at their name. Quietpaw, Birdecho, Moonglow. Oh stars above they're all basically new warriors. 'Why did I get the patrol with a bunch of children?' Starlingcall thinks to itself, brows furrowed in annoyance. It won't admit that they were their age less than a year ago, but it sticks to the back of their mind like a sticky toad. Though, perhaps Mistlewhisker trusts it enough to keep an eye on all these... new warriors. They eye the deputy, wondering what she thinks of them.



"Come along, everyone," Starlingcall announces, flicking its tail towards the entrance of camp. They silently vow to prove to Mistlewhisker they can indeed take this responsibility, even if it's going to be silently dreading it the entire time. Such is the sacrifice of being a good warrior, it supposes.

Birdecho glanced up as her name--her new warrior name!!--was called for patrols. Her first patrol as a warrior... cool!! Birdecho padded over, looking around for her patrolmates.

Starlingcall looked rather unhappy to be there, but Birdecho didn't really care. She glanced at the older warrior, her wide amber eyes unnervingly intense. She stood like she was primed to dart away at any moment, her body practically trembling with contained energy. After several heartbeats she looked away, waiting for the other patrol members to show up.

Ah, good — a patrol. Something to feel somewhat normal. Briarsplash had been taking it 'easy' as per Rookfire's instructions ever since she nearly bled out from those cursed snakes during the extermination event. But it would be good to finally get out of camp again, stretching her legs and taking to the territory for some hunting, now that she was cleared to leave. And thankfully, she felt mostly normal, save for the occasional pang here or there if she stepped too funny on the paw that had been bitten by one of those slithering critters. Another bite had been rather vicious on her front leg, leaving a scar that was mostly hidden by her layered pelt anyway.

Sootstorm was already gathered, and Briarsplash padded up, giving the fellow warrior a curt nod of greeting. She sat down in a huff nearby, her plumed tail flicking here or there as she waited for Wispypaw and Marigoldpaw. The Enforcer recalled that Marigoldpaw would need to keep working on her warrior requirements, so she made a mental note to keep an eye on the apprentice. Nothing like a watchful glare from a warrior to give young cats some motivation, right?

Moonglow's ears flicked as she heard her name, padding over to where the other cats of the patrol gathered. She could almost physically feel Starlingcall's annoyance at being paired with the cats on her patrol.

a patrol. perhaps the last one until she's a warrior. with a small nod, she let her nose guide her to duskpaw's patrolmates. tuftedtusk, hillstrider... and silentpaw. okayyy.

quillpaw is snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of his name being called. hm. a patrol. well, he supposes it gives him a chance to get his mind off of things - focus on something else other than the permanent anger that's made his body it's home. plus, it was a patrol to herondive hollow which he'll admit is his favorite border, simply because the neighboring clans territory is quite appealing.

though, he hasn't the faintest clue of who turtlepaw is, and he just barely recognizes newtbelly as he pads towards the enforcer. neither of the two are particularly important, so he hasn't paid much mind to them for ..well, his whole life basically. apparently, greetings aren't very important to him either judging by his furrowed brows and silence.

Hunting patrol. Nothing too horrible, Cinderpaw knows how to hunt, after all, so even in the harder moons for prey, she shouldn't hold the patrol back at all. Mudslide is already here, so the black tabby greets the warrior with a nod before waiting for the others.
