She had waited. Waited for this talk, to see if Spring would come forward herself, or make any sort of move on her own to teach Wolfpaw what needed to be done. The
one thing Bumblestar had asked her to do. And there was nothing. She was certain it was almost time for the kits, and yet nothing had been done.
Too birds, one stone, with this . Bumblestar turned her paws to the nursery. Hopefully Spring would be in there, and not somewhere around camp where she would have to hunt her down. Or, stars forbidding it for Spring's own sake, traipsing around the territory where Bumblestar would have an excuse to tear into her. She needed the stress relief.
"Spring." Her voice was gruff as she shouldered through the entrance, scanning the nests until she landed on the she-cat. She sat down in front of her, expression carefully blank despite the aggravated twitching of her tail.
"I need the names of every cat you visited while you remained in the Outskirts. Don't lie to me, or try to keep someone out of it. I'll find out eventually. Then I want you to explain to me why, despite the fact you've nearly run out your time here, I've not heard a damn thing from Wolfpaw about training."
