Even if the seasoned warrior could've thrown her off the moment he'd gotten in an actual breath, that part didn't matter; it was the fact that Willowtail had outwitted Stagheart and had managed to use her surroundings to her advantage to take the larger, beefier warrior down. And for that, he couldn't be prouder.
As soon as he could take in a proper breath, the tom let out a low, wheezy chuckle, eyes glinting approvingly at he met the gaze of his former apprentice. "By the stars... you never quit surprisin' me," he rumbled with another chuckle before gently shaking her off, rising to his feet and giving a good ol' stretch to his muscles. He took a few more gulps over air to recover from hitting that rock; that was gonna hurt in the morning. But he didn't quite mind; not on a day like this.
Stagheart turned to fully face her, blue eyes glowing in approval and pride. Smirking, he dipped his head in respect, like he would in the presence of another mutual, full-fledged warrior. "So, kid... you showed your skills 'n knowledge well this whole assessment. Sure, not everythin' was perfect, but no warrior is. Your heart 'n drive are what make you a true warrior, 'n luckily, you've also got the talent to back it up, too. Ya passed everythin', even windin' some ol' warrior like me who's got moons more experience on ya." He gave a mock-annoyed roll of his eyes, as if he were irritated by it, though his own pride couldn't be too wounded when he trained the cat that'd just bested him; if anything, that was sort of an honor, wasn't it? And proof of a job well done?
He gazed back at her, his usually-gruff voice now warmed and a genuine little smile tugging on his maw. "Willowtail, it's my honor to tell ya that you've passed your assessment... 'n to be the first to welcome ya as a full warrior of RiverClan. Congratulations, kid."
Even now, as she was technically his peer, she'd always be 'kid' to Stagheart.
Willowtail stood, licking his shoulder gently where she had placed her paw hard to pin him. Purring her long tail stretched upwards in pride. "Thank you!!! Oh my Starclan thank you!" Willowtail purred, her bright blue eyes wide and happy as she pressed her muzzle to his and fluffed out her fur in excitement. "Old" Willowtail teased. As the realization set it, Willowtail gave a gentle sigh, she was an adult now. She was a warrior, just like Brightnight wanted her to be. She'd fullfilled one part of her destiny. The other part...... would have to wait. Just you wait Watertail..... I'm coming for revenge... father. Willowtail raised her head to the sky, closing her eyes and whispering. "I did it mom..... I'm a warrior now just like you wanted me to be..."

He flicked her shoulder with his tail, smirking a bit as he helped carry some of the fresh-kill she'd managed to get during her assessment. "I'll go tell Fadin'star when I head back to camp. You comin'?" He offered to walk with her, or let her sit alone for a bit to bask in this moment; whichever way she preferred to celebrate her accomplishment. As long as she didn't forget to bring the rest of her catches, of course, which he was sure she wouldn't.

At her last comment, Stagheart let out a genuine chuckle at the thought, immediately shaking his head 'no'. With how small she was now that she was grown? Not even becoming a full warrior could fix that. That tail of hers was about longer than her whole body.
"No chance, kid," he huffed, giving her an amused flick of his tail. Then he led the way back to camp with a lighter feeling in his chest and an odd sense that things were gonna be alright... at least for a bit.

Willowtail blinked at Stagheart softly, her eyes light and happy. "I'm......I'm so glad you've given me another chance at life. Becoming a warrior... it's made me realize who I am, my purpose in Riverclan, a-and it's all because of you." Willowtail meowed. "Thank you.... for everything. I'm super glad your my mentor....." Willowtail meowed, her tone softening as she added. "Also, thanks for being.... my dad." Willowtail's long tail flicked softly as her eyes rounded, "I love you Stagheart..." Willowtail gently brushed her fur against Stagheart's. Her eyes glowing with appreciation and daughterly love. The new warrior gave a gentle push to shake off her shyness. "Race you to camp!! Last one there is an apprentice for the next moon!" Willowtail meowed, picking up her prey and racing forward. Being half-Windclan giving her an expected boost. Feeling the wind in her fur made Willowtail happy, a huge weight had been lifted off of her shoulders, she felt renewed after fulfilling her mothers biggest dream. For her oldest daughter to become a warrior, to care for her siblings.
