Cascadingrapids-She/Her(MtF)
26 Moons
--------------------
Once the otters had passed them, Cascadingrapids had joined the others in blocking the way.
One of them, Fishleap, was attacking an otter before almost getting hurt, it looked like, but Lavenderleopard had helped.
With two cats, Lavenderleopard and Rowanmane, already worrying on Fishleap, she decided to bring her focus back to the otters.
She noticed another otter was coming toward them, probably to protect its young.
Eugh, okay.
Cascadingrapids decided to start worrying about the adult, since the younger one is definitely less of a threat.
She hoped in the back of her mind that she wouldn't be the only one attacking it, though. Cause that would suck.
[Roll=19]
Continuing to try and block the path of the otters, Cascadingrapids managed to avoid the arms of the otter and dig her teeth into it's throat.
Due to its thick skin, it hadn't done as much damage as she had hoped for, but it had at least drawn enough blood.
As it started to reach for her, she managed to move off of it.
She is not risking those arms.

Re: get ou-tter here! [otter fight pt. deux]
Peachspring
20 Moons || RiverClan Warrior || She/her
. . .
RiverClan’s Southern Sweetheart . . .
Peachspring was genuinely excited at being called for the patrol, more excited than she should've been to fight a bunch of vicious otters. But too many RiverClanners has lost their lives to the the wretched rodents. The ginger molly
grinned as their leader explained the plan to them. They had some of RiverClan's finest on the team. Three Lionhearts, and their fierce leader. This battle wouldn't be easy, but RiverClan wouldn't go down without a fight!
She was itching to go ahead and just attacked them head on. That's how Peachspring liked to do things. Get them over with quick and easy, but of course, otters needed a long and complicated plan. That was okay though. She could wait here for her leader's order.
When the battle started, it started fast. Everyone sprang into action. It seems most of the cats were going out in pairs, Stormstar advised that doubles would be the easiest way to do it. As the otters tried to flee back into the water, Peachspring jumped out along with the rest of the patrol and snarled at them. Otters were nothing special. They were ugly, long, wet rats. And Peachspring hated rats. She used to be scared of those filthy creatures back when she was little and livin' on the farm. But she was a grown warrior now, and it wasn't the time to get nostalgic.
Seemed like everyone was beating her to the otters and already pairing up! Curse her slow legs! She momentarily whipped around to take a glance at Fishleap, but her Clanmates seemed to have it under control, and she quickly brought her attention back to the battle at hand. She did scoff a little when she realized that three of them were focusing so much on the baby otter. Because attackin' a baby only led to one thing: a pissed off mama.
And sure enough, there she was, heading towards the group before being distracted by Cascadingrapid. "I'm with ya, Cascadin'rapid! Let's give 'em hell!" She called with a grin as she charged toward.
[rolled an 18!]
Peachspring lunged for the otter and managed to get its attention away from Casadingrapid as it tried to thrash out of her clamped jaw. She hissed as she slashed at its face and left a scar of its cheek. She was aiming for the eye, which could be a bit unethical to some, but hey! The otters deserved it. Plus, Peachspring couldn't help but attempt to show off, especially when the others on the patrol, including the cat she was currently trying to to assist, were all so darn pretty!!

Re: get ou-tter here! [otter fight pt. deux]
Stormstar - RiverClan Leader
As Seabreeze joined her and scaled the back of the creature with ease, his distraction proved pivotal as the otter reared backwards. Stormstar let out a snarl and aimed a harsh blow directly to it's face, tearing her claws down and relishing in the sharp cries from the creature. Good. She wanted it to feel pain for what they had taken from her Clan - now, and in the past. It whipped its head around, squeaking and shrieking as the leader studied it. Has she blinded it? "It can't see - stay out of it's paws 'n use that to your advantage!" she called to Seabreeze, glancing around at the others.
Weepingwind and Willowtail seemed to be going after one together, while Floodsight was wrestling with one on her own. Goldfish soon raced over to join the first duo, and Fishleap, Lavenderleopard, and Rowanmane... "If you're injured, get out 'n back to camp - if you're not, quit standin' around 'n help me kill these beasts!" Not unnoticed was the soft way in which Lavenderleopard was going after the otter near the bank - oh, stars help the warrior if she was being soft just because it looked a bit younger. It was still bigger than any cat here and it had just blinded a Clanmate!
As the leader moved to help fight it a force crashed into her side and sent her sprawling. It seemed there was one otter that hadn't been taken care of - despite the numerous warriors she had brought with her this time - and it's paw came down hard on her shoulder. A sharp pain shot through Stormstar and she snarl-yelped, scrambling away from the creature as it advanced. The pain in her shoulder was red-hot, but she could still put weight on her paw (a little bit, not a whole lot though).
"This is for Mudsmoke 'n Jayfrost, water rat," the leader hissed as she lunched forward, ducking at the last minute to dive underneath the offer. She could feel its thick body starting to fall on top of her, at which point she threw herself to the side in a roll - ignoring the way blackness danced across her vision as her shoulder exploded in pain - and sprang back up, slashing her claws down its side. The creature let out a scream and swung around to face the leader once more.

Growling, Willowtail pounced on the now pinned otter, her claws raking down its stomach in an attempt to gut the unworthy creature. She felt claws go into her flank, send her side stepping, but her digged in claws just ripped otters fur and skin more.

Re: get ou-tter here! [otter fight pt. deux]
Weepingwind
short-furred, black ghost tabby with dark green eyes
purrks: n/a
she/her | riverclan warrior | 31 moons
The blood in her ears was pounding, and her adrenaline running hard as Weepingwind briefly noted both Willowtail and Goldfish coming in to assist her with the fumbling beast. At the very least, the tabby was thankful, but the other half of her was more intensely focused on beating down this creature once and for all. Weepingwind's scarlet-flecked claws bit into the slick, coarse fur of the otter as she struck a harsh blow to its shoulder. Each movement required all her focus; this creature was agile, strong, and cunning, fighting with a savagery that reminded her of just how easily it could overpower her if she slipped just once. Just as she reared back to launch another strike, the otter’s hind leg kicked out with powerful force. She felt claws slice across her shoulder, leaving searing marks that instantly stung and pulsed, a fresh coat of blood soaking through her naturally dark-colored fur. The blow nearly threw her off balance and she stumbled, gritting her teeth against the pain that now spread like a raging fire through her shoulder. The sensation was fierce, jolting up her senses, but her grip on the otter’s flank never loosened. The mass amount of adrenaline coursing through her veins made sure to numb out a part of her brain that would otherwise have screamed in agony at each wound, dulling the sharpness of her injuries enough for her to stay focused on the fight and push past the pain.
She took a moment to steady herself, quickly glancing at her clan-mates. Goldfish seemed to be holding fast, her teeth having been locked into the otter’s torn ear, and Willowtail had darted in with what seemed to be fierce determination, her claws having raked across the otter’s head in quick, brutal swipes and shredded its other ear. Suddenly, the otter twisted, and Weepingwind barely had a heartbeat to register its move before it sank its teeth into her front leg, puncturing deep into the flesh. Sharp, blinding pain shot up her foreleg, the entire limb screaming in protest as the otter clamped down harder, sending jagged bursts of agony with each second it held on. She let out a low, furious snarl, sharply tugging her leg free in a quick, wrenching motion, even as its teeth left deep puncture wounds that began to bleed profusely. Her leg throbbed, and she instinctively shifted her weight to keep from putting too much pressure on it, though each step felt like she was treading on thorns within a rose bush. Just as she tried to regain her stance, the otter lunged forward, catching her across the muzzle with a rapid swipe of its claws. The strike landed with precision, slicing through the sensitive skin of her muzzle and leaving a shallow, stinging gash that sent a thin stream of blood trickling down her face. That for sure was gonna leave a permanent scar.
The pain was both sharp and disorienting, the metallic taste of her blood filling her mouth as she breathed heavily. Blinking furiously through the haze, she forced herself to keep her focus, determined not to let her injuries distract her from the fight. Amidst the flurry of chaos, Weepingwind caught sight of the next wave of warriors emerging from the shadows of the undergrowth, spreading out to block the riverbank and corner any otters that tried to escape back into the water. Relief sparked in her chest at the sight—her clan-mates were positioning themselves to prevent the creatures from escaping back to the water. The knowledge that they were approaching victory filled her with renewed strength, despite the pain that throbbed in her leg and shoulder, and she clenched her jaw, forcing her body to obey her through the agony. “Nowhere to run now, water rat.” She hissed her voice a low growl laced with blinding rage. She could feel her blood seeping into her fur, matting the dark, smoky pelt around her wounds, but she refused to retreat. Not yet. This was a fight for her clan, for every life the otters had endangered, and she wouldn’t back down. Weepingwind let her fierce green gaze lock onto the otter, determination blazing as her bloodied form coiled in preparation for her next move. She could feel each heartbeat hammering painfully against her wounds, every shallow breath pulling at the fresh gash across her muzzle and making her leg throb anew.
But it didn’t matter—not now when victory seemed so close that she could almost taste it. Blood-flecked claws unsheathing once more, she lurched forward, lashing out at the otter’s exposed flank with a calculated swipe. Her claws connected, cutting through its dense pelt and leaving deep, scarlet-streaked lines in her wake. The otter screeched in anger and pain, trying to twist away, but Weepingwind didn’t relent. She shifted her weight, dodging another wild swipe, then aimed a harsh strike at one of its forelegs. The creature reared itself back to retaliate, teeth bared, but she anticipated the move, ducking just in time and delivering a brutal slash down the length of its hind leg. Her claws carved deep enough to force it to stagger, its muscles straining to hold it steady. Seeing her opening, she lunged low, her jaws snapping shut around the otter’s hind leg just above the joint. The fur and skin tasted metallic against her teeth, but she ignored the bitterness, biting down with all the strength left in her jaw. The creature squealed, writhing in her grasp, but she clamped down harder, feeling the sinew and bone beneath her teeth begin to strain. With a final, sharp twist of her head, the bone gave way under the pressure, snapping with a dull, sickening crack that resonated perfectly in her ears.
The otter’s body jerked in agony, its leg hanging uselessly as she released her hold and sprang back, its strength visibly fading with each breath. Before the otter could try to make its getaway, she surged forward, her claws raking deep into the earth as she tackled the otter’s side, forcing it back down with her weight. Her paws pressed firmly into its shoulders, pinning it in place as it writhed beneath her, but she held on, muscles trembling with the strain. The otter let out a guttural snarl, baring its teeth as it twisted to break free, but Weepingwind's grip was relentless. Her claws dug in deeper, each heartbeat echoing with pain, but her fierce determination outweighed any hint of weakness. Blood seeped from the wounds along her leg and shoulder, further staining her dark fur. Her breath came in ragged gasps, and her heart pounded, each beat fueling her with just enough strength to keep the creature restrained. “Your not going anywhere you damn pest; not after everything you water rats did to us.” She snarled, eyes blazing with unyielding fury. The otter snarled back, thrashing with the last of its strength, but with each attempt, it grew weaker. It only meant that victory was nearing itself with every passing second.

Re: get ou-tter here! [otter fight pt. deux]
Floodsight
✦ RiverClan | 23 moons | Mind Reader ; Beefed Up T3 ; empty slot
The otter had staggered back a little, wheezing and catching it's breath, as Floodsight found herself the same while pacing around the creature, making attempts to analyze the area she had. Slowly she stalked between it and the river. It would be terrible if this one slipped through her claws. With a direct line to the river, anyone could be pulled in and disappear... forever. Her dim blue eyes narrowed with an icy glint. No, no one was going to disappear today. No one. They weren't going to repeat history. They've learned and they'll fight back today. They've changed...right?
The silver warrior launched herself towards the otter once more. Learning from the...last fight, how slippery these otters were. Instead of trying to hold this creature down, she'd chip away at it; a little by a little, hoping to buy a little bit of time for the others to drive the others out.
She'd aimed her claws, dragging it down the otters face.
You rolled 17
Success!
The otter screeched once more, staggering back, back and back.

Re: get ou-tter here! [otter fight pt. deux]
Goldfish felt a wave of satisfaction as the second patrol came surging out from the undergrowth, her fur raising as if on cue. Suddenly, the otter jerked and Goldfish felt her claws lose grip and the Lionheart was forced to jump back to avoid exposing herself for a free attack on her throat. However, it seemed Weepingwind wasn't so lucky. The deep-colored tabby had an otter's teeth sink into her leg, and immediately Goldfish's breath sharpened. Her claws dug into the earth. But it seemed like the Molly was okay, so she didn't say anything immediately. "Hang back a bit if you need to, Weepingwind! You okay?" she called to Weepingwind, before catapulting herself with a body slam into the slick animal, a deep snarl in her throat. The otter was knocked into a brief stagger, and Goldfish's eyes caught on Stormstar, alone against an otter. And it was looking a bit rough. Nuh-uh, not today.
Not gonna let anyone risk death. Bouncing back from the otter (Her leg sort of hurt. Looks like otters are kinda chunky for body-slamming) and toward the one Lioness was fighting. Eyes narrowing, and not really caring about the slight blood from the minor wound on her tail dripping onto the earth, Lunged for the beast. "Damn you!" She snarled, twisting in the air to land on the other side of the beast and attempting to lodge her long, sharp claws into its spine.
[ Goldfish Rolled a 16! ]
Success! Goldfish felt her claws sink into flesh and the angry creature. A primitive snarl escaped the otter, enraged, as her claws tore at skin and fur. It would pay for all it had done to her clan. To her. To Jayfrost.

Re: get ou-tter here! [otter fight pt. deux]
Seabreeze
He/him | Riverclan Warrior| Moons: 24 |
“No one is coming to save you.
Get up.”
TW: This character’s posts often exhibits triggers such as depression, suicidal tendencies/idealation, anxiety, and self loathing
Seabreeze growled as he was thrown backwards as the otter reared with a cry of pain. Though perhaps it was the satisfaction of hearing its cries helped lessen the blow as he rolled back onto his paws, barely panting with the wind that was knocked out of him. A toothy grin, unhinged even, made its way onto his face as he heard his leader call out the creature's status. Blind. Well, he certainly didn'y even think twice before rushing forward, still being at the creature's back to attempt to lounge his teeth into one of its hind paws, viciously ripping at the flesh and flinging his head back and forth hoping that it was flesh that came loose before his grip. Though maybe he underestimated the flexibility of an otter, as the beast turned its front half to lunge at him. His eyes widened and he let go and attempted to lunge to the side, and out of its slashing claws and snapping teeth.
He didn't make it, how pathetic, to get hit by a blind target. He silenced the growled pained sound as it tried to weasel its way out of his chest and give away his location. His shoulders were on fire but he adrenaline soon took off the sharpness enough for him to actually be smart rather than hasty this time. The warrior bounced back a tail length's before attempting to run past the creature's left flank, planning to feint, and run past its right. He would slash its flank as he passed and hopefully continue to limit its mobility so that it couldn't escape.

Fishleap
RiverClan Warrior | Weird as hell
No Purrks
actually gonna try to do a decent post this time, I know, crazy)) Fishleap, the moronic cat she had decided to be that morning, decided her best move was to pin the otter underneath her and let Seabreeze and the others try to get a few good hits on it. It would work, right? She crouched down, fighting through the pain that seared her muzzle. That's gonna leave a scar, She thought as she aimed. I'm gonna match with Seab! She chuckled inside her mind, but remained focused. She leapt, putting all of her strength into her flimsy little uncooked noodle legs and aiming, claws unsheathed, at the otter.
[Fishleap rolled a 1 what the heck man]
Well, she didn't exactly pin down the otter like planned. The otter had slithered onto her back as she landed, and was now biting and clawing at her back as she tried to get the water rat off of her. 1 scar was enough, thanks. The problem with this situation was that otters, while still strong and fast, were wiggly. Whenever she tried to throw it off, it gripped her tighter, and wrapped its lanky body around her to secure itself. She hissed in pain, still trying in vain to grab the damn otter already. Her fur was turning more red than it already was, and the edges of her vision were getting dark and blurry.
[Fish current status: In pain, maybe dying idk man i just want drama and I got a 1]
