Starlingkit followed Hawkkit closely, side-eyeing him every now and then. She couldn't help but blame Hawkkit for everything that'd happened. She was a little child, after all. In her mind, Hawkkit was the one who got the whole Clan riled up, and momma exiled. If only he didn't scream during the Meeting... But she wasn't livid. As much as it was surprising even to her, she was just... Annoyed.

But her momma had hit Hawkkit. And he had bled.

Was he really at fault?

Of course he was! Because of him, she never wanted to see Momma again. She had left a mental scar on her that she did not know if she could ever recover from.

If she had known the concept of mental health and trauma.

Hey steps were slow and shaky. She messed up. What if this damned her whole life? She could never be allowed to train another cat, to watch over the kits that she so found joy in…what if this was it? Stupid Stupid her. She should’ve scented the two-legs. It should have been herself over that poor apprentice. She couldn’t throw herself at them in time. If only she followed him…stopped him from going the simple few fox-lengths that he did.

Her head hung low nearing the ground and her wide, green gaze glanced over to MilkBee. “BumbleStar…we need to go.” she muttered, trying to put together her scrambled thoughts to form a proper sentence. She hadn’t even waited for a response when she started towards the den. The den that suddenly seemed so large and scary and above her. “Miss…uh…BumbleStar…may I come in?” she stammered nervously, swallowing back a flow of tears and begging for mercy.

Thrushkit nodded in solidarity to her siblings before waltzing into Bumblestar's den, head and tail held high. She walked past Hawk-kit, lifting her head enough for her eyes to meet Bumblestar's, which quite the angle but it had to be done. She wanted Bumblestar to know she was serious. Kits were often not taken seriously, but they had been discussing this and given it a lot of thought. "We've gotta problem." She mewed, her voice squeakier than she cared for due to her size and destroying her whole facade. "We've all agreed...we need to do something about our names." She lifted her chin even higher, standing protectively in front of Hawk-kit.

Stars above, why was he so nervous to go ask Bumblestar a damn question? The tom contemplated even going to see Bumblestar in the first place, and was still wondering when he stepped foot in the den. "Bumblestar?" he muttered, leaning against the den wall as he normally does when he visits. "I uh,, wanted to ask you a question, if you're not too busy or anything like that, " he muttered, shuffling his paws.

"Oi." Bumblestar grunted the word as she pushed through the lichen curtain behind Wolfpaw, entering after him. "Why look so nervous? Ain't like you killed someone."

She circled around him to sit down. "What's goin' on?"

Bumblestar lifted her head to stare at the kit that had wandered in. "Yeah, that's... that's great, kid. Did you need somethin' or what?"

The medicine cat jumped slightly as the leader came in behind him. "I uh, No? Why the hell would you think that? Dunno how ta fight anyway," he grumbled. He didn't even know how to fight! His nervousness was forgotten for a moment - sure he knew the leader was joking, but still! And cue the nerves again. Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all. "I uh, wanted to talk to you about a few things," he told her. Yeah, he could just save the question for last.

"Linking back to what I just said, I have no battle training," Wolfpaw told her laying down so he didn't have to continue leaning on the den wall. "n muddy is sick, so they can't teach me. So was wonderin if you could teach me some stuff - just the basics would be fine - sometime? Then when hollows isn't sick, I could teach them! And show muddy when they're not sick!" he said excitedly, perking up at the thought.
