Cloudedpaw yawned, padding into the clearing. He shook the sleep from his pelt, not looking over to his mentor.

Lifting her head from her paws, Willowfrost's amber gaze immediately locked onto her new apprentice as he emerged from his den. "Cloudedpaw! Grab yourself a piece of fresh-kill before we set off- it's going to be a long day." She called out to him while padding closer. We're touring the territory today- safely assuming you haven't done so." The she-cat explained, glancing around the clearing. "Since Bumblestar put in that rule...rightfully so, mind you- we need one more to go out with us..."

She looked at one she-cat contemplatively. They had never spoken, but late is better than never, right? "Snakefang! Mind giving me a hand with Cloudedpaw's training? Just a tour around the territory today." Willowfrost asked as she bounded towards her Clanmate. "We just needed one more warrior, if you're not busy."

( @Crown_Sage - once again so sorry for delay ;w; since the rule was put in place at the same time as getting Cloudedpaw as an apprentice, I'm just going to follow it here for now as well! @Vitalspark allowed me to ask Snakefang for help <3 )

Snakefang had been sitting around the clearing, not really doing anything. The seasons were changing and it was getting colder, maybe sitting around without doing anything wouldn’t be such a good idea when the cold came. Then as Snakefang stood up to do…something, she could figure out what exactly later, she heard her name being called by Willowfrost as the warrior asked her to help with Cloudedpaw's training. "Yeah sure, was just looking for something to do anyway."

Cloudedpaw strode over to the two warriors and groaned. I'm not hungry. He told Willowfrost, letting out a big yawn that showed his teeth. And I don't want to tour the territory. I want to fight! He inhaled, narrowing his eyes. He had already learned some fighting moves from his dreams and wanted to show off.

Willowfrost nodded her thanks to Snakefang before narrowing her eyes at Cloudedpaw. "You'll do as you're told." She huffed, turning and beginning to head out of camp. "How are you going to battle in the forest effectively if you don't even know the territory? We can save that for another day." She continued to chide, tail tip twitching irritably. "Now, let's go. Make sure you listen to any instructions Snakefang gives as well." With that she disappeared through the tunnel and out into the territory.

Cloudedpaw flicked his tail irritably. Whatever. He grumbled, matching his mentor's tone. He stared at Snakefang then looked at his paws. This is dumb anyway. He muttered under his breath so that no one could hear him.

Snakefang couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as Cloudedpaw mentioned that he'd rather do some fighting. She was exactly the same way as an apprentice. But the territory tour was important, and on the way out, Snakefang noticed how Cloudedpaw didn’t seem to be too pleased about it. "Cloudedpaw, there's more to fighting than you think." She began, "Believe me, knowing the territory well will help a lot when you need to defend it. That's how we have an advantage fighting on our own ground, we know it better than anyone who's wanting to attack it. So I know the territory tour might not be the most interesting, but believe me, it'll make you a better fighter too." If that didn’t work…well, at least she tried then.

Cloudedpaw hesitated. I guess. He meowed flatly, sitting down with his tail tucked underneath him. I don't even want to an apprentice. He told Snakefang, his head down. I want to be a warrior. I bet WindClan doesn't have to put up with this. He rumbled to himself. Let's go.

Willowfrost narrowed her amber eyes briefly at Cloudedpaw's clear dismay, but a sigh still escaped her lips as she trudged back over to her apprentice. "We're going to make a good warrior out of you, don't you worry." She mewed, resting a tail lightly on his shoulder. They both appeared to be the grumpy type, and Willowfrost certainly wasn't one to take any disrespect, but she also believed strongly that other's respect had to be earned as well. "Let's get moving, and I'll show you the best places we can ambush." She purred, giving a nod to Snakefang as she once again pushed past them towards the entrance.

Willowfrost wrinkled her nose as they approached the RiverClan border, practically gagging at the strong scent of those fish-eaters. "What border do you think this is, Cloudedpaw?" The she-cat paused for a moment. "We'll make the border tour quick, as I'd rather get you into real training as soon as possible."
