Mudhound
Thunderclan Hornet | They/them | 40 Moons
Bilingual T3 | Flock Together T3 | Rapid Recovery | Killer Aptitude T3
Huddled in their little sick bed, feeling too awful to do much of anything and drifting in and out of consciousness, Mudhound had heard enough in the end. The hornet wasnt really sobbing, but where their nose was buried in their paws, to weak to help out Bumblestar, tears rolled down their cheeks.
'So, Riddle Me How I Was Suposed To Stay Away From The Only Cat That Gives A Damn!' 'Its Not Like It'd Make A Difference. Can't Train Anyway.'
Had..... Had Mudhound really been that bad of a mentor to the apprentice? The tripod really had tried with Silverpaw! They'd taught him all the methods to survive and thrive as a tripod, they'd showed him he could function with a disability why did he seem to think he couldnt train? Maybe Mudhound hadnt put in as much effort, even if they'd tried their best! And they'd cared, they really cared about Silverpaw and not given any inclination otherwise! So why did the tom seem to think only Larkswoop did?
It hurt. In careless rambling to Bumblestar the hornet had hypothesized that Silverpaw had never really accepted Mudhound as his new mentor... They hadnt wanted it to be true in the end.
And now Silverpaw was gone, having turned so sour so fast and so twisted in a way Mudhound had never hoped for him, making threats against his own clan as he went. It was horrible, and yet the tripod couldnt stop themself from softly murmuring a soft "Goodbye Silverpaw....." at the apprentices retreating back.
Just upset in the end Mudhound nodded at their sister, making eye contact with Wolfhive in a silently communicated 'I dont think I could do it. This is on you.' before shuffling to face the wall. They just didnt wanna see anyone looking at them, the failed mentor of an exile.

The toms ears twitched as the leader's voice echoed disproportionatly within the makeshift clearing. Eyes narrowing at the Apprentice who slunk out of the entrance. Wouldn't be the first time he'd attacked an apprentice.
Just as he stood up to follow the brat out a rather shrill, yet scritchy voice caught his attention. Almost immediately he whipped around and saw a familiar looking brat. One of his brats.
Apprentice forgotten Spiderthroat made his way towards the tiny molly. "You couldn't kill a leaf mite with how you're feelin right now. Get back into the nursery" he stated sternly.
"Fine." Mantiskit grumbled. She walked back to the nursery.

She was almost close to passing out right here in the middle of the temporary camp's clearing. Heavy breathing escaped her maw as she stared at the front, to the sight of someone getting exiled. Really, that was how they were going to start their isolation? with someone being stupid. A few hacking coughs were let out as she curled back up into a tight ball. Her head was too muggy feeling right now to even think more on what just happened. All that her body seemed to be demanding from her was just sleep.

On her way out, Strawberryfur spotted Mudhound, his back turned to the outside. Her tail and ears drooped, she wanted to say something to help him but couldn’t think of anything useful. “I cared about him too, Mudhound.” She murmured, hoping he would hear her. “You didn’t let him down.” Or at least, he wasn’t the only cat that let Silverpaw down. Strawberryfur didn’t wait for a response. She bounded for the entrance and returned to the main camp.
Strawberryfur watched the confrontation in shock. She blinked at Silverpaw as he left, her gaze confused and heartbroken. Why? Why did this happen? She felt…almost numb. She’d never felt this way before. The pale ginger tabby watched as Bumblestar had made the announcement about Silverpaw, flinching slightly. K-Killed? She swallowed hard, she had seen it for herself. Silverpaw had threatened Bumblestar! But why?!
She had gone there to bring the sick cats some prey and visit with him, she hadn’t expected something like this to happen! Strawberryfur dipped her head in acknowledgment of Bumblestar’s announcement, though she was aware of a slight tremble in her legs. I…I need to get back to the main camp. She approached Bumblestar cautiously, the young warrior still in shock over Silverpaw’s behavior and what happened.
“Bumblestar,” she mewed quietly, “I came to bring some prey I caught to the cats here. I’ll be heading back to the main camp now.” She reported, mainly just to let her leader know why she had been there in the first place.
Bumblestar was going to cuss. If she caught one more cat out alone, she would flay them alive and fly their pelts as a warning for what happened to cats who didn't open their ears and listen.
"Drop it off 'n then you're walking back with me," she snarled. "You should already know you shouldn't be out of camp by yourself! Restrictions are still in place. How many times do I seriously need to say it?"
She'd follow Silverpaw's trail later. Apparently, her time was currently being overtaken by the local idiots.
A black and ginger tortoiseshell she-cat sat in her nest, her breathing was becoming more shallow. She opened her green eyes, closing them again and opening them again she saw a cat standing in front of her.
The she-cat fur was black, her eyes an icy blue. "Littlerose..." meowed the black she-cat.
Littlerose groaned softly, her green eyes stared at the black she-cat. The she-cat that grew up with her...the she-cat that she loved most in the whole wide world..the she-cat she never got to tell her she loved her."Nightwater." groaned Littlerose. "Come, let's go home my love."
Littlerose didn't realize she took her last breath until she was standing in front of her, feeling more alive. She turned her gaze behind her at the lifeless cat on the nest.
Nightwater purred and with that lead Moonbee to StarClan.
Littlerose lifeless body sat there in the nest, not moving and not breathing.

Strawberryfur blinked at Bumblestar, but said nothing. She knew she had gone there to bring prey, but also to visit Silverpaw and check on him. But now... Regardless, she thought better of saying anything. She was in the wrong for leaving camp on her own, regardless of her intentions, and she was still reeling from Silverpaw's words and actions.
Gaze almost hollow, she only nodded and dipped her head in a gesture of respect, prepared to follow Bumblestar out and back home. All she wanted to do right now, was curl up in her nest and sleep. Sleep so deeply that this day would almost cease to exist.
