Leechscar lifted his head and looked over his shoulder as Batglare, Scorpionsight, and Silverrose arrived. He refrained from giggling at how odd they looked with wet fur and was quite glad he hadn't been chosen to help with Crowtooth's firefighters. While Batglare barked out orders, Leechscar scanned to ensure Bouncepaw and Whiterabbit were doing alright with their jobs.
Out of the corner of his eye, Leechscar noticed the change in the wind and barely spotted the smoke as an ember landed on some dry grass. Hissing, Leechscar leaps away from the grass he dug up and veers around the group to reach ember and smoke.
"Whiterabbit, Bouncepaw, come dig a small trench around here just in case." He called to the two, leaving the current flames to Batglare's patrol. In his haste, Leechscar recklessly decided to stomp on the smoky patch deciding to try and kill it while it was small.

The corner of her eye followed movement as she an ember flew loose from the rest of the fire, charring the small patch it landed on - on instinct Silverrose had the urge to move aside and throw soil upon that patch as well, but supposedy heroic or foolish Leechscar was first; yes dig a trench, but what use did purposefully burning your paw have? The stoic as ever tom seemed to have little reaction despite, the only reason why Silverrose kept working on the main fire rather than chide him for acting the way he did. The flames did a number on her fur, for one, and she'd rather this not reach camp. Hopefully between the soil and wet moss the increasingly dimming fire would soon wane out; it appeared Leechscar's patrol had the stray ember under control.
Daffodilpaw frowned and nodded. She knew that Owlscreech was right, even though warriors weren’t supposed to kill each other in battle, it still happened. Even though all life is supposed to be sacred…a warrior has to be prepared. She gulped, trying to swallow the feeling in the pit of her belly, then looked up at Owlscreech when she felt ready. “We’ve only done hunting so far.” She explained, crouching into her well-practiced hunter’s crouch as if to demonstrate. “And I’m awesome at it!” She added with a purr. “But we haven’t started battle training.” Her tail waved behind her in excitement before she reigned it back in, looking at Owlscreech now with eager eyes.
Owlscreech purred at the apprentice. "I see you are looking forward to fight." she meowed with a smile. "There are a lot of fighting techniques you will learn. But first I'll explain each one to you and demonstrated them." . The she-cat faced Daffodilpaw.
"Number one, we have the Back Kick, it is a explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws." she meowed softly, she said as she demonstrated the technique.
"Belly Rake, is a fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control." the brown she-cat with wide owl like eyes showed the apprentice.
"Front Paw Blow is a frontal attack. You'll bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed."
"Front Paw Strike or also known as the Forepaw Slash is a another frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent."
"Killing Bite is a death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort. We never use it unless we have to and see no way out."
"Leap-and-hold is ideally for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed."
"Partner Fighting is for warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers. I highly recommend especially if you are half the size of your opponent."
"Play Dead is effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position. Especially if you are also half the size as your opponent" meowed Owlscreech.
"Scruff Shake is a strong teeth grip to the scruff of your opponent's neck; then shake violently until they are too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them. But we don't kill unless we have to." she said sternly. "We dont kill for fun."
"Tail Yank you grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force that your opponent is thrown off balance. Teeth Grip a target your opponent's extremities, the legs, tail, scruff or ears, then you sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight."
"Upright Lock is another final move. It is a crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip them under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed." Owlscreech said as she walked around Daffodilpaw, her eyes never leaving the apprentices.
"A Half-Turn Belly Rake, you turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent. Badger Defense you leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. We only use this if we have to fight badgers. The Duck and Twist is a simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws and lastly the Jump and pin it is a complicated move, you leap backwards, and bounce off the wall and with precise accuracy, land on the cat." she said, as she sat down.
Owlscreech was tired already. "These are what you all have to learn."
Bouncepaw nods, coughing, and steps back. His eyes sting a little from the smoke. He waits for a minute or two for the pain to go away, before going back to work digging the trench. His paws are starting to ache, but he can still hold on. He has to, for his Clan.

(Sorry my reply is late. There was an issue with my account and I wasn't able to receive mentions for a while.)
Batglare barely paid much attention to what Leechscar was doing as he moved out of his line of sight. The flames were buried underneath the dirt, covered enough for Batglare to decide they could heap the moss on. "That's enough toss your moss on." The old tom ordered, grabbing his sopping wet ball of moss and dropping it over the mud pile.
He fought off a few coughs as smoke wafted heavily towards the sky and the fire finally ceased. His eyes watered as he took several large paw steps back to cough and inhale clean air. His throat hurt and he was unable to pick up any scent other than smoke in his nose. He'd wait and see how his patrol was doing before turning to figure out what was going on with Leechscar's patrol.
Once he noticed the problem, he yanked the younger fury by his tail towards him with a low warning hiss. "Dumbass," He grumbled, noting that although Leechscar had stopped another potential fire, it most likely cost him his paws.
"If we have extra wet moss squeeze it out of where Leechscar was," Batglare advised Scorpionsight and Silverrose with a lash of his tail. "No one else burnt themselves, and everyone breathing alright?" Batglare asked once everything was settled. Batglare noted he had a small knot in his chest, but it was hard to say if it was from the smoke or just anxiety. If there was no major, aside from Leechscar's paws, he'd wait a few more moments to make certain that everything was indeed out before leading the patrol back home. Hopefully, the other patrols will have similar success.
[This is more or less the last day for this so gotta finish.]

At the order Silverrose dropped on her wet clumps of moss, further extinguishing whatever remained of the near disaster. Blue eyes scrutinized the burnt patch of land, stepping away only when she finally began to grow aware of her dry and itchy throat, stifling a few coughs upon reaching cleaner air. So preoccupied with her work, she had barely noticed the black mists assaulting her insides, but it grew painfully obvious now. Moving towards cleaner air she did pause to momentarily squeeze out the remainder of her soaked moss where Leechscar had extinguished the last fire with his paw, eyes briefly pausing on the tom as she considered his paw once more. Sounded like she wasn't the only one who thought it foolish, albeit Batglare had actually acted upon it. Wheezing a few breaths of clean air, other than having ruined fur and smoke filled lungs, the silver warrior was doing relatively alright and would recover soon enough; it'd take a little more than fire and smoke to take her out.
"I'm fi-" Bouncepaw coughs, not just from the smoke, but from the dust and dirt on his paws. There was a spicy feeling in his throat and eyes that he had passed over until now, but it's becoming more and more noticeable. The few seconds of rest didn't really help. He blinks several times, and paws at his eyes before realizing the dirt would only make it worse.
It was really fine. He wouldn't die from this, would he? And he didn't have any burns.

Owlscreech was tired already. "These are what you all have to learn."
Daffodilpaw watched earnestly as Owlscreech demonstrated the moves. She showed no sign of losing her confidence and self-assurance, though she did feel a tiny itch of doubt that she'd learn all this very quickly. She had mimicked some of the movements while Owlscreech demonstrated, but not as strongly as the warrior as she was just trying to get a feeling for the movements. She nodded when Owlscreech finished the demonstration, her tail flicking thoughtfully.
"Okay...I think I get the idea of them." She meowed. "Can we try?" She asked, crouching down already, tail waving excitedly behind her as she looked at Owlscreech with bright, pleading eyes.
ORP using Snappaw and Twistpaw )) Snappaw padded through the territory with his sister Twistpaw. "Snappaw!" She meowed. "How's your training going?" Snappaw shrugged, and Twistpaw purred contentedly.
