Goldenwing observed the fellow warrior, noting that he looked approximately her age.
(No worries about the reply, I totally understand )
"Goldenwing, a pleasure to meet you." Foxleap rumbled in a low purr, glancing towards the direction where the she-cat beckoned towards and nodded in agreement, "I went in a different direction than this river to find the burial place, but I have no doubt you're correct." Foxleap retorted with confidence, smiling dashingly as he took several paw steps forward and glanced back at Goldenwing, subtly admiring her radiant essence, "So what do you think of the new territory so far?" He questioned curiously, hoping to strike up a good conversation while they began their walk along the river.
Hmmm.. Organise stuff… It sounded a good idea! But what to organise? Then, he remembered the moss from earlier. Surely the nursery needs the most moss, right? The apprentice tilted his head, contemplating it. “Maybe we should organise the moss, in the nursery?” He suggested, voice unsure. The old nursery was a misty memory, but he remembered it being soft and warm - cosy. A place where no one could reach them, until… That part didn’t matter. The new kits deserved that same feeling, the warmth and the safety. Hopefully it wouldn’t be trampled once again.
[so sorry for the late reply, i totally missed this post !!]
"Okay, I think... the kits will like that." Beaverpaw replied, standing to follow Seapaw.
Kits like being comfy, right?
He had.
Nice and comfortable, and things staying the same.
Okay, he really meeds to push his constantly dreadful thoughts to the back if his mind, and move on to the task.

"I'm grateful that we're out of that old twoleg den," she responded as she padded down the path leading out of camp. "It felt very... confining, I guess. It feels good to be back in our territory. And with Stormstar established as our leader, I'm hopeful for some more stability. Riverclan has been in fluctuating states for moons now, I hardly remember a time where it has felt safe."
Goldenwing tilted her head back slightly so that she could feel the sun soak into her face. "And the new camp is so open. It feels good to be outside," she purred.
I'm a student full time so I apologize for any late responses. I'm online most frequently ~4pm-11pm (PDT), but please feel free to bump or direct message me.

Making sure to keep his pace even with Goldenwing's, Foxleap padded briskly next to her as he kept his warm eyes on her. Nodding along, the gallant tom smiled dashingly, chuckling with a rich tone in his voice, "I have to agree, I couldn't stand that twoleg den either." he remarked with a hint of amusement in his voice, "And you're right, it'll be nice to settle down and reset as a Clan..." The long haired russet tom trailed off as he held his broad head up high and his gaze forward.
Briefly glancing to the side as he watched her bask in the radiant rays of the beating sun, Foxleap caught himself staring and felt his skin grow hot under his fur from embarrassment before quickly averting his gaze back to their grassy path along the babbling creek that had gradually began to widen into a steadily flowing river. Foxleap smiled, clearing his throat, "Y-yeah... I think it's great that the camp is surrounded by mountains. The more protection, the better."

"Alrighty!" He trilled, usual cheer slipping into his tone, a little at least. First they'd need to find some moss - luckily, it looked like more was growing atop the log that was warrior's den. "Let's grab some moss from there," he pointed with his head. They weren't really used to taking charge of a task like this, it felt weeiiiird!!! "Frigidfang taught me how earlier - but, uh, I think he got a splinter, so be careful!!" he began to pad toward the log, before placing his paws upon it to begin gathering. Maybe he should talk to Beaverpaw about these crazy couple of days?? "Uhh... How are you anyway?" he wasn't really sure how to ask about it, to be honest, he didn't normally talk about these things. "With, like, everything that's happened..."
Beaverpaw nods and follows Seapaw.
Before he grabbed to moss, he listened to what Seapaw mention. "A splinter...?" He replied "Ouch. Yeah, I'll be careful."
He started to grab some moss with his paw, mimicking how Seapaw was doing it cauuuse even though he's been an apprentice for a little while now, he hasn't quite collected moss yet.
How was... he? "I mean... things are different, just... getting use to it." Beaverpaw answered with half a truth "How about you?"
Stars was it good to be home again. The mountains were horrible! Everything about that place was dreary and gloomy. Everything in the mountains felt wrong. From the new prey, goodness, Peachspring hated having to eat birds for a meal. They were disgusting creatures. Nothing compared to a freshly caught fish. Land hunting too! It made her feel to similar to the other Clans. Fishin’ and swimmin’ was what made RiverClan themselves.
And finally they were back by the river where they belonged. How relieving it was. She no longer had to split her sore pads open on harsh stone. Soon they’d probably become soft and round again, at least she hoped. She’d never been a too big fan of change.
It was also good to be back emotionally. In the mountains, RiverClan seemed to be at an all time low and everyone’s spirits were dwindling. She could tell from the sunken eyes and dreary new. Heck, usually ceremonies were one of her favorite things and it seemed recently they only had bad news to share. Oh whatever! These cats around her could be miserable if they wanted, but she’d keep her head up and movin’ forward. That’s all they could do at this point. If they dwelled on the past to long they’d be stuck there.
So, they’d returned home, yet everything was so empty. That needed to be changed. Seabreeze mentioned decoratin’ right? That’s what Peachspring would do. It seemed there were already some others who started searchin’ for some trinkets, so she’d ask some cats to join her too. Maybe some pretty shells or flowers oughta do the trick. Can’t go wrong with a little color. ”Hey y’all, someone wanna come find some pretty little shells or somethin’?” She called loudly with her smooth Southern drawl. She didn’t care who joined her, some kiddos or warriors or even lil’ kitties. It’d be fun either way. Peachspring was a bubbly warrior anyways.

Oh.. He didn't think about hearing that question back. They weren't really sure how to talk about their feelings like that, they'd never really had the opportunity. "I'm..." They trailed off as they gently pawed moss off the log, "It's a lot." Beaverpaw didn't say much about the whole Fading..? Star? Stuff. About all the arguing, all the learning about the past - maybe he really wasn't bothered about that. So, he focused on the whole moving home thing. "We've just had so many homes, you know?" Things were different. He still missed the mountains sometimes, less so now that Tinytoad was back, but... He wasn't sure, it was strange.

The two warriors followed the creek downriver until they reached a copse of beech trees that stood next to a wider bend in the creek.
"This spot looks like there's a decent chance of finding some good fish," Goldenwing suggested, crouching a bit to get a look at the water under the reflective glare dappling the water. She carefully dipped a paw in, fur prickling around her haunches at the chill, holding herself still as not to disturb any fish that may pass by- not until she could strike.
