One second, Owlkit was screaming. The next, she was quieted - briefly - by her mother's attentions. Then whatever interruption took it away and before she could so much as squeak again, she was being swung through the air and set down on soft but unstable foundations

The whole thing shook as Larkswoop stood. She couldn't hold on. She'd just been born - she was basically a nugget with no upper body strength! With a "WREEAAAK!" of distress, her measly hold on Larkswoop's fur slipped and she tumbled... thankfully right into Wolfpaw's outstretched forepaw. Whew, that would've been bad.

Almost instantly, Starlingkit shrieked again, matching her siblings' shrill cries, feeling her body get picked up and stay up. She thrashed, though she found it quite difficult due to some strange force around her, forcing her still. This was not on her 2024 bucket list This was not something she enjoyed, not a single bit. She instinctively twisted around (Or tried to, at least), her tiny claws grasping onto the nearest thing. She grabbed tightly onto whatever it was, making pitiful attempts of trying to bite it.

Wolfpaw glared at the queen, flinching as she hissed at him. "No, I don't think I will," he snarled through Hawkkit's muffled fur. He watched as the queen brought her kits up to her back - in between her shoulder blades - before picking up the third. He jumped with alarm as one of them began to slip. Instinctively, he outstreched his paw. Phew, he caught them.

uh-oh.

Wolfpaw had a problem. The brown tom stayed still, wobbling on his now two legs planted on the ground. This was bad. He could set down Owlkit - but larkswoop would likely pick her up again and she might fall a second time. But if he attempted to adjust himself, he would most likely fall, crushing the two newborns. "HOLLOWPAW!!!" he called out, yet again muffled due to Hawkkit in his maw. But it was hopefully loud enough for his fellow medic to hear him.

He's Simply Helping To Move The Kits. He Cast Wolfpaw A Quick Glance, Before Sitting Beside Her. Wait. What. Kits...? Oh, StarClan! Kits! Shed Had Her Kits In The Warriors Den! Looked At The Warriors, And Stepped Away From Them. Plus, I Think He's Right. Go The Nursery Before They Wake Up WolfHive And SpiderThroat! He Chirped, Leaning To Pick One Of Them Up.

Desperate to soothe her daughters´ cries, Larkswoop gave Owlkit, Thrushkit, and Starlingkit each a gentle lick between their ears. Furious green hues flicked over to Wolfpaw. ´´Put him down,´´ The queen repeated, voice soft with anger though as cold as ice. Her next sentence was aimed at Silverpaw. ´´I´ll let you or Hollowpaw take him, Silvs, but not Wolfpaw.´´

Where was his stupid partner? Hollowpaw wanted to go over some of the recent illness symptoms with him, compare what little knowledge both of them had about it in relation to other illnesses and then... figure out what to do from there. He thinks he sees a brown tail disappearing into the warrior's den, followed by the screaming and squealing of... kits? Why are there kits in the warrior's den?

He's just stepping into the den in time to hear Larkswoop snarl at Wolfpaw, which already has his brow twitching. He doesn't understand the anger there, or the seeming dislike between queen and medicine cat. He's about to announce his presence with a sharp snap at the queen, but then Wolfpaw calls for his help and, as much as he'd like to deny it, little tabby moves instinctively to help, snatching the wobbling kit from his unbalanced partner.

"Why in the hell are there fresh kits in the warrior's den," it's more of a statement then it is a question. And Larkswoop's sudden insistence that Wolfpaw doesn't help? Someone screw this lady's head on correctly already. "Ma'am, I don' know if there are beesh living in your brain or shomething," he starts, voice muffled by the scrap of fur in his mouth, "but Wolfpaw is your medishine cat, he'sh not here to hurt you or your fur scraps." A statement. Silverpaw being here.... that shouldn't be happening.

"You don't touch any of these kits," he snarls, "they're newborns and you're sick and how you managed to sneak back into the main camp is beyond me, but turn your tail around right now and get back to where you're supposed to be or I'm sendin' the wraith of Bumblestar down on you." Sort of a lie. He was going to tell Bumble either way.

Newborn kits acting like newborns, she could deal with. Larkswoop's typical aggravation? That too, unless it went too far. A sick apprentice who definitely knew damn well he wasn't supposed to be there, let alone near newly born kits and a queen who had just given birth? Yeah, that was a hard no.

Bumblestar saw Silverpaw enter camp. He made it to the warriors' den before she could intervene, but she managed to slip in right behind him and intercept him before he could touch any of the kits by slamming a paw down in his path. An ear twitched as Hollowpaw went off on him first, and rightfully so.

"Out," she said once the medicine cat apprentice was done - a simple, cold command that said disobedience would not be tolerated. "Now. I am walkin' you back to where you're supposed to be 'n you're staying there this time like you're meant to."

[ Desert, Silver should be aware that he isn't allowed to leave the sick camp or even be travelling through the territory without at least two warrior escorts. Bumblestar is escorting him back to the sick camp and an IC punishment will be decided on there. ]

And he was picked up, hawkkit felt his body shift and go limp while a muffled breath hit his scruff and an angry voice why was everyone so loud and that yell again hawkit meowed loudly in response " WHHHHHEeee! he meowed back.
