Mallow lies on the ground under the trunk of a tree, tucked into the nook between the roots. Her mother may have left her all alone in this dumb place, but she did teach her how to not die first. At least the dumb tree blocks the dumb wind. She sniffles a bit, it is still cold. Her wide amber eyes narrow as she curls her tail around herself for warmth, but it doesn't do much with her shorter fur.

When Wolfhive did his sweep of the territory, he wasn't expecting to see a ktiten curled up beneath a bush. He paused for a second, just taking it in - how the kitten was shivering, how disheveled and helpless she seemed.
He got down low to the ground and reached to sweep her toward him; the motion was quick but gentle, and if she allowed it she'd be tucked into the warmth of his fluff. "Can you talk, kit?"

Heart was taken by surprise when she was abruptly pulled into the big cats fur. It was a quick move, and as gentle as it could be, and she was too numb in the mind to do much to protest. The suddenness of both the movement and the change in temperature from cold to somewhat warm shocked her a bit out of her vacancy.
"Um... y-yes..." she responded quietly. It's kinda hard, she didn't say. I'm still really cold on the inside, she didn't say. Please don't hurt me, she didn't say. Anything more than a confirmation seemed like an impossible amount of effort, so she left it at that, and just kept on shivering in silence without really feeling it.

"You know where your ma is?" She seemed bitterly cold, and since she wasn't trying to fight him Wolfhive began to try to lick her fur the wrong way to stimulate warmth. That's what one did with kits, right? He wasn't sure in hindsight.
If he could find her mother - awesome, hopefully this wasn't a case of a bad parent. A lone kitten in the woods gave him a bad feeling though, was painfully familiar, and if she wasn't sure he'd scoop her up and take her to camp. He was pretty sure Softdaisy wouldn't mind another duckling.

Yes. No. Heart knew where she'd left her mother— cold and empty and never to move or speak or smile again —but she really wasn't all too sure where her mother was now. She had always told Heart that all their kin stuck around after life to watch over them, even if they couldn't be seen or heard. She said they would always be in the hearts of their loved ones.
Heart placed a paw over her chest, doing her best to look the cat in the eyes through his fur. "Here," she said in a small, cracked voice. She hoped that was enough — she didn't have much left in her to explain it all. He was making her sleepy with the way he was licking her fur and warming her up. Her eyes grew heavy. She slumped against him a bit.

Bumblestar had caught a weird scent out by the border and had gone to check it out. A good thing she did, too, because there was a baby over here! She dropped her head to peer between the tree's roots. "What're you doin' out here by yourself? You're near ThunderClan territory."

Mallow looks up at the new cat, who is rather large compared to her, with apprehension. Who is this? Why are they talking to her again? She fluffs up her long curly fur at an attempt to make herself a bit larger.
"Whas Thunderclawn?" She asks questions, cocking her head to the side as she mentions being on 'Thunderclan territory,' but she huffs as she answers why she's all alone, "Mama said she didn't have time for me anymore, she lewft me here. I'm okay dough, she tauwght me how ta live on my own."
She looks up at the other she-cat, tilting her head to the side as she studies the cat before her.
"You know, miss? You're super pwetty!" She gives her a small smile, standing up, "Your scars are really cool too, I wish I had scars..."
She tail is raised in the air, waving slightly. She is in a better mood now, she thinks, being found by this super cool cat is much better than sitting on the ground all alone. Then her big amber eyes widen slightly as she realizes that she completely forgot about being polite, she didn't even introduce herself, her mother may have been a spitfire (which is a trait she has happened to aquire), but she still taught her basic manners at the very least.
"I'm Mallow, who're you?" She asks, her ears are perked as she shoots the she a soft grin.

They never seemed to know who's borders they ended up at. Bumblestar flicked an ear, unsure what to do with the compliments and discarding them instead.
"Bumblestar. ThunderClan's leader. We're one large group of cats among another three. If you've been left out here, I can take you back there. We'll get you set up in the nursery 'n I'll have Weepingwillow make you at home. We'll have to tack on -kit to your name - it's what all kits like you get - so you'd be Mallowkit. That sound good?"

Mallow
Mallow listens with wide eyes, her expression a mix of curiosity and skepticism. She doesn't quite understand... a bunch of cats...? Living together...? Her parents didn't even want her, or really even each other. Yet, suddenly, this stranger -Bumblestar- wants her to live with her and this... group? Clan as she called it? The little kit shakes her head in an attempt to forcibly clear her thoughts, her whiskers twitching as she looks back up at Bumblestar. Well... she doesn't really want to live alone... but this cat is still a stranger. She's learned that taking chances is just pointless, both from her life she's basically been living on her own and the occasional lesson she'd learn from her mother. Her tail flicks her tail from side to side, weighing her options. After a few moments, she comes to the conclusion that even though she may have survived this long on her own, she'll definitely have a higher survival chance and enjoyable life if she joins a comunity... uhg. That word feels weird.
"Sure... I'll join -uh- Thunderclawn." She says hesitantly, looking up at Bumblestar with a nervous smile, "Who's Weepingwillow again...?"

Poppy hopped down from her fence ignoring all the yells from her owner. She stepped into the forest she always looked out at. She wandered into the forest and then rested under a bush. She heard a rustle in the bushes and hissed. "Who's there?" She growled at the noise.

A pale blue tom with a yellowish tail and a brown mask. He's blind in his right eye, and is basically a slightly less pissy Jayfeather. Only slightly though. He likes Limepaw alongside Applepaw, making him part of the fruit trio, despite Mint being a plant. His birthday is canonically October 17th.
