Now a warrior again, Snakefang had been told by Wolfhive to take Goldenpaw for some training, which made her wonder. Had Goldenpaw just gone without training for the moon she was demoted? Well, Snakefang knew she'd have to make it up to Goldenpaw if that was the case.

"Goldenpaw!" She called for her apprentice as she looked around. "I'm sorry about how much you’ve missed, but I’ll make it up to you. I promise."

"We can start with some hunting out in the territory, have you learned anything about hunting when I was demoted?"

Goldenpaw rises and greets the day by hacking out a glob of phlegm and forcing a few stubborn breaths into their cobwebby chest. Guhhhuh. This whatever-it-is is unpleasant and the sleeping situation is even worse. The sleep-monster isn't back yet, hasn't pinned Goldenpaw under its choking shadows like he's worried it might, but that won't stop the young cat from waiting 'til exhaustion finally pulls a bag over his head and forces him out for good instead of just getting to bed on time in a healthy way.

Sn...oh. Oho. Snakefang's back in the game. Goldenpaw perks up and then wilts, suddenly sheepish. Snakefang's back in the game and they haven't been even the slightest bit productive during her demotion. Well—they've made some friends, which is all Goldenpaw's worried about, but they recognize that it might be a little irritating to get back into the swing of things just to find out it's gonna be a start from scratch scratch.

"Hey, welcome back t'your big-name, buddy-o. I will be so real, I haven't done much'a anythin', hunts included. Call me Drain-On-Resourcespaw 'cause I have been gettin' away with some craaazy ineptitude 'n slackerism. I mean I've been doin' stuff just. Like. S'all been extracurricular an' prob'ly not real helpful to my advancement an' uhhhh....coff." It's a real cough, not an awkward one, though Goldenpaw is the picture of bashfulness. "M'feelin' a li'l under tha weather but I'm down ta rumble whenever. I dunno how t'hunt unless you mean huntin' for uhm. Uh."

Hm. There was a joke there but Goldenpaw's gone and lost it. She squints her rheumy eyes, sniffs, then shakes her head. "Naw I lost it. My bad, I'm sure that one woulda been funny if I knew how it ended. M'kay let's go do this, let's get our hunt on."
