Hmm. Well. A predicament. Were these edible? Were they poison? He couldn't remember if they were really nice berries with a hint of tart, or berries that would kill you in moments. Hmm.
The tom turned to look at the...er....his apprentice. A brow quirked. "Well...what do you think?" he asked. Tail twitching behind him. "Want to give em a shot, I'm preeetty sure they're perfectly fine. About 80% sure anyways."

This territory trip had been... Hollowpaw actually didn't have any proper words for how to describe it. But his escort today, Spiderthroat, his fake mentor and deputy, seemed to be easily distracted by some berries. Seriously, they were just random berries! What was so interesting about them?
"Taste them? Do you even know what they are?" And, if they were the fabled deathberries or some other deadly berry, what would happen then? Hollow and Spider both took a bite and BAM! ThunderClan is down a deputy and a medicine cat. But that's just worse case scenario...

A pause as he turned to look at the berries again. "Well. I'm positive they ain't deathberries. Used those once or twice and these ain't them." a tilt of the head. "Yeah. I'm almost positive they're fine. I'll eat one." he said as he simply leaned forwards, pricking one from the bushel where they grew and popped it in his mouth. Op! Yep! These were those sweet yet tart ones!
"Lick one or live a coward."

Okay, well that was unfair. But they're not deathberries, so Hollowpaw can accept the challenge without any worry. Plus... Well, Spiderthroat wasn't writhing on the ground and foaming at the mouth or anything so the berries were probably safe.
"Who're you callin' coward?" Hollowpaw bristles and immediately takes two berries into his mouth, sharp teeth bursting them and letting the juice flow over his tongue. Hm. They were kinda nice... Blinking in surprise, apprentice herbalist looks up to Spiderthroat again, this time with less hostility. "What're they called?"

Wolfhive left camp to hunt down comfrey and elder flowers. He found a small patch of what appeared to be comfrey - at least based on what Orangeblossom said - and went on to find what he thought was elder flowers not far away. With it in tow, he headed back to the medicine cat den to drop it off for Seakit.

Larkswoop ducked through the bramble tunnel and out into her Clan´s territory, the shredded piece of prey clamped tight between her jaws. Inedible, it was. Falconkit had made it that way.
Going a little ways into the territory in the direction of the outskirts, the warrior dropped the pink flesh and managed a soft sigh. Her green eyes glistened with disappointment in Falconkit. Warriors and apprentices worked hard to catch that prey. Now that hard work had been wasted. Ears twitching, Larkswoop dug a small hole beside the roots of a tree and dropped the bloody, torn-apart mouse into it. She used a dusky-brown forepaw to scrape earth over it.
Once finished, the broad-shouldered tabby headed back to camp, ducking into the bramble tunnel once more.

Catmint, catmint, catmint... Bumblestar led Lavendersong out of camp, keeping an eye on the surrounding territory for what Hollowpaw had described. Stalks, purple flowers, small leaves, pleasant smell. Hopefully an easy enough find?
"Lemme know if you spot anything," she called over her shoulder to her patrol-mate. "I dunno how much luck we'll have here."

Catmint, catmint, catmint... Bumblestar led Lavendersong out of camp, keeping an eye on the surrounding territory for what Hollowpaw had described. Stalks, purple flowers, small leaves, pleasant smell. Hopefully an easy enough find?

Trotting close by Bumblestar, her feathery tail swaying behind her as her shoulders rose and fell with every gentle pawstep, Lavendersong also scanned her surroundings with eyes as pale as the moon but to no avail. As much as she enjoyed flowers and such, hunting for herbs was definitely not her strongest skillsets. It was one thing to hunt for prey, where smell from a distance can come into play. Slightly splitting off from padding behind Bumblestar, the glossy pelted black she cat called back out to Bumblestar as she went to explore a nearby thicket, "Will do... Yeah, I'm not that confident either, but we'll do our best!" She threw her head back to yowl in response before turning back to the large patch of thickets up head. Maybe something was hidden here? Dipping her nose close to the earth, she began taking in the scents nearby. But nothing distinctly sweet smelling like a flower. With her nose pointed to the earth, Lavendersong sniffed around and dug her nose in a nearby heather patch. Ah, there was the familiar scent! Her ears perked up as she found 2 stalks of catmint. But just 2? Letting out a frustrated tsk sound from between her teeth, Lavendersong glanced up from where she was wondering if Bumblestar was having any better luck in the distance.

Urgh... several minutes of searching, and nothing. How hard was it to find a damn plant? Bumblestar stuck her nose under a bush and then yanked back as a very angry shrew squealed at her. Whack. Her shrew, now.
With the rodent dangling from its tail between her teeth, she straightened back up. Lavendersong was out of sight now, though still within earshot. Maybe she was having better luck. Purple, purple, purple... OHO JACKPOT.
Three purple stalks, tucked in-between a bunch of ragweed (freaking finally she'd been looking for this for ages). Bumblestar plucked two and left the third to allow regrowth and snatched up a couple of the other. "Found some!"
