That was better. Wolfhive relaxed. "A free lesson: don't trespass on Clan territory. Cats would shred you for less 'n you're just giving them a reason, then."

He sat across from her, tail neatly tucked around his paws. Her words were all fine and well, but.. "I'm gonna need to know more about you before I decide if you can join or not."

Acacia looked at the tom. "well...." she trailed off with a sigh her ears going back. "My mother died while kitting, lost my uncles and aunts to a dog pack. My father was the one who raised me...but he was recently taken as well." she said looking up at him. "I have no one or no where to go. My dad told me the stories of the clans..."

"Most cats start with a name." Wolfhive wasn't going to hide the mild amusement at her oversight. "What do you mean 'taken'? By Twolegs? 'N do you know how he knows of the Clans?" It wasn't that uncommon for outsiders to know, but he was curious.. some cats were former Clan cats after all.

"Sorry, sir." she meowed, her cheeks started to blush. "My name is Acacia." she standing up straighter. "Yes...by twolegs..." she meowed looking away, she then looked back at him with his next question. "I really don't know, sir.." she said. "He wouldn't say, nor tell. If I did, I would."

"Right." Unlike with some cats who shared information, she was cooperative and had nothing obviously concerning. "Name's Wolfhive, I'm the head Hornet of the Clan under Bumblestar. I'll let you in, but we're gonna need to change your name - Bumba wouldn't let you keep a Twoleg name 'n she'd want you to fit in with our traditions."

Acacia looked up at him. "Nice to meet you Wolfhive." she purred, with a smile. "I really like you name." at the mention of him saying she could join. Her eyes brighten and widen. But...she would have to change her name? she thought. She actually didn't mind it, a new home a new name. "Well...if I had to change my name....and if I can choose it. Can I be named Split?" she asked with a tilt of her head. "How does it all work?"

Heart blinked owlishly up at the strange cat with sad and bleary eyes. She hardly knew which way was up. She had been walking for a long, long time, and she'd hardly eaten anything without a mother to hunt for her. She had curled up beneath a stunted bush to sleep once she finally realized how tired she was, limbs shaking for probably a lot of reasons. She'd felt cold and empty.

Now it somebody was looming over her as she tried to wake up, and she felt like she should be scared. She at least thought she should say something, but she just stared vacantly up at the far older cat. Her throat didn't seem to want to work.

Reason for Joining: She was a member of Tc but she was quite depressed in her life (she's had a lotta loss and trauma...), leading her to make the rather rash decision to try out the life of a loner for a while. This idea was inspired after meeting a rather happy-go-lucky loner named Huckle, so she wanted to be happy too and see if it could help her let go of some pain to see life from another point of view. However, the 'loner life' was not her cup of tea, after a few days she grew restless and wanted to return to her clan, prepared to face the consequences for her actions. But she got very lost... good news, she made it now though!

"Split- works, yeah. You're a bit old to be a -kit, so you'd be starting off as an apprentice under the name Splitpaw. You'll get a mentor 'n they'll show you the ropes of being a Clan cat; and how to hunt and fight." He had someone in mind, actually - it'd be good for the both of them and Wolfhive trusted Nightgaze to take good care of her. "We'll meet your new mentor when we get back to camp, but just know that sometimes mentors don't work out, for whatever reason. Could be an injury, could be given extra tasks 'n struggling, could be.. health.

"The point is, even if you aren't getting training from them, you can ask others. The end of your training is warriorhood, where you'll be given your full Clan name - for example, I was once Wolfpaw, but I got 'hive. You're Splitpaw now, you'd be Splitsomethingelse later. You can get your warrior name whenever as long as you do the training for it. We got a cat who's received it 'n he's younger than you by a bit.

"Warriorhood gets you a bit more freedom - and depending on your age and experience you might get your own apprentice. But... let's not worry about that right now, this is already a lot and you haven't met your mentor yet." Wolfhive beckoned her to follow as he stood and headed from the border. "C'mon, I know just the cat."

Acacia now Splitpaw, listened to what the tom had to say. Her two mismatched eyes sparkled. Everything he said sounded wonderful. She wanted to make sure that she would make her new family proud. She stood up and followed the tom.
