✥ Marbled tail flicked dangerously, so akin to the whips that should be entertaining her as plebeians tried to prove themselves against archaic felines which bested them in all but complete idolised intelligence, Laurelkit was bored… plain and simple… she didn’t feel the best and she was tired of sitting sharing the attention of all her siblings day in and day out, it was time for the Imperatrix to take her thrown once more and her empire mind was full of chattering court coup d'états against the authority which kept the little oriental within the confines of the camp. Oceanic and verdant hues took one world outside the woven bramble walls with piqued curiosity, moon after moon was growing tired, she clearly deserved to slip into the freedom of apprenticeship but would that mean momma fires wouldn't love her as much anymore since the others would be there and she would be…

hooray! she's leader! she's never been leader before, it sounds easy though. and plumkit's already asking what her first orders are. talk about a great deputy!

egretkit suddenly adopts a serious expression (or as serious as a kitten her age can look), glancing away thoughtfully. let's see, how does twillystar talk? oh, right. "hm, yeppers..that is a good question, plum.." she trails off, quickly glancing back at plumkit and falling silent. "..plumlove," a spin-off of the nickname her papa uses for her. it was the first thing that came to mind. very great name for a deputy if she says so herself, hopefully plummy likes it!

"...evilclan has been snacking on our borders..yep!" she sighs followed by a shake of her head. she would've named an actual clan but, well..she forgets their names. too long, too much to remember. "and if they keep snackin' on our borders, there won't be any borders left! we can't have that! it's super duper bad!" she explains, nodding incessantly as if to prove how dire the situation is. no more borders is bad! she's not too sure why, but considering she sometimes hears uncle crows telling people to go to them, she's pretty sure they're a big deal. so!! they gotta defend them!!!

"but, it's okay, plumlove! don't worry! egretstar, me, has a plan." egretkit reassures with a proud, closed eyed grin. she pauses for a hot minute, trying to remember what a leaders supposed to do in this type of situation. fight? fight. even though fighting was bad, and mean – she doesn't see why you need fighting if you can just cuddle and nap, but whatever! big cats are confusing! she'll ask papa or uncle crows later.

"to save our borders from being snacked on..we're going to ..ATTACK!" she yowls, wildly looking around and pointing at a random mossball. "look, an evilclan cat pretending to be a mossball! SPOOKY! plumlove...we have to defend windclan!!" she mews, and with a mighty battle cry (a squeal of sorts), she leaps at the mossball. only to poke it with her paw and leap away, gasping. "it BITED..bit..BIT me! the mighty egretstar needs help!!"

A blink. Plum... love? The kitten tilted her head, testing the name out in her mind. Where had Egretkit pulled that name from? It felt... odd. Undeserved. Maybe she could think about why such a kind nickname left a bad taste in her mouth, but she had more important things to focus on.

Evilclan. From the explanation provided, they truly were a clan of no-good, very bad, stinky jerks. There wasn't much about clan life that she understood yet, but one thing she did know was that they needed borders. If Evilclan was snacking (how were they doing that) on their scent markers it left them open for raids, stolen territory, and goodness knows what else. Plumkit couldn't help but shake her head in disdain at the hopefully fake clan. It was a huge weight to place on the newly appointed high ranks. The tortie could feel her shoulders sag with this newfound responsibility. Would they evacuate the clan and escort them to safety? Stay and fight? Team up with the other clans and drive Evilclan out of the forest? Her head swirled with all the possibilities.... this was too much!

It was times like these she wished her face moved. Some way to let Egretkit know that Plumlove was not the right choice for deputy without actually saying it. Run away with the rest of Windclan and let Egretstar handle this mess. Maybe she could contort her face with her paws to show her stress??

Two front paws reached up, one on her eyebrows and the other on her mouth. All she would have to do is tug them down into a scowl, and she would be home free! Unfortunately, Evilclan couldn't allow that. They were here. In Windclan. And they were attacking Egretstar. Plumlove couldn't run away from a leader in need.

The tortie leapt at the mossball fearsome warrior who had hurt Egretstar. Baby fangs dug into the foe; not letting go even when it began to tickle her nose. Using her front paws to keep it in place, Plumlove yanked her head back as hard as she could. The soft ball tore in two, sending the kit flying backwards. Welp. That Evilclan warrior was dead.

With the mossball still in her mouth, Plumkit blinked up at Egretkit. "I fink I killed thish one. But I fink hish buddy i shtill alive!" She raised the torn up moss ball held between her paws before throwing it into the sky - an opening for Egretstar to catch.

Heathernose purred at Fallenkit with a smile, touching her nose to the young cat's forehead. "That's alright little one. WindClan is full of wonderful warriors!" She purred reassuringly. She glanced at the feather to ensure it was still safe, laying her tail over it protectively to keep it out of the way of any playful paws scampering about.

She glanced around for a moment before looking at Fallenkit again. "Do you know where there's an empty nest, Fallenkit?" She asked. "Or maybe a space where I put one together?" She knew that Lionscar had promised to help her put the nest together, but she hadn't seen too much of him lately... She knew that he was probably busy with his brother and his apprentice, so she tried not to worry.

Cloverkit pounced on a leaf. "Ya stinky Shadowclanner! I got ya now!" She cackled and batted at the leaf.

Heathernose purred, this kit was too sweet and adorable! "Thank you, little one!" She purred gratefully. Heathernose lifted her tail from her feather and placed it carefully in her new nest. Heaving herself to her paws was becoming increasingly difficult, it felt like these kits couldn't come soon enough! She was used to being skinny and wiry, now it felt like her belly was bulging. She knew it wasn't as bad as it felt...she hoped rather. She felt like a swollen rabbit.

Heathernose released a sigh of relief when she was able to settle into her new nest. It didn't carry any of the familiar scents she was used to, but she had but to place her nose on the feather she placed in her nest and she could drink in Lionscar's scent. I miss him... She looked up at Fallenkit, waving her tail. "Looks like we're neighbors then!" She purred, flicking her tail to show that Fallenkit was welcome to join her if they wanted to.

Cloverkit noticed.. uhhh, Sugarkit.. watching her. "What?" She spat and narrowed her eyes. "It's like training when some enenenenemies come." She meowed, slowing when she tried to pronounce 'enemies'. She smacked the leaf away. "Anywho, it's really rude to stare. You should be doing something more productive!" Cloverkit yapped.

Fallenkit giggled, snuggling up beside Heathernose. Are you gonna have kits soon? She asked, not noticing how obvious the answer was. Can I pay with them? She rested her head at Heathernose's paws.
