The explanation of catmint as a remedy for white or green cough immediately has Hollowpaw's focus zeroing in. Since he knows the cure, that means he can withhold treatment to those who don't deserve it...! Or save someone's life, whatever is more convenient. Thyme as a cure for shock or anxiety isn't something he'd expected. Why would a cat have so much anxiety they'd need to resort to a damn plant to help with it? Hollow would never need that himself, anxiety was not something he regularly dealt with, being a generally self assured cat.

"No questions." He answers, but a bolt of curiosity strikes him and, before he can follow the train of thought for long or think better of it, he tilts his head up at the outsider. "Who taught you herbs? You weren't a medicine cat when you left your clan, were you?" There's a slight wrinkle of his nose as he asks his question. If she used to be a clan's medic then why did she leave? Surely she liked the power?
