Having a pretty good idea of what was coming didn’t make it any easier. For about the millionth time, Duskleaf wished he had been more careful in what he had said. Now this place was unsafe, hard to accept as it was, it was his fault. He would never have dreamt of endangering his Clan, but in a moment of unparalleled stupidity he had done just that. At the worst time possible, he'd put his paw in his mouth and given away RiverClan's position to the enemy without even realising. Regardless of the outcome of this meeting, he knew for a fact he'd never do something so stupid again. At Fadingstar's call, Duskleaf slowly and quietly made his way over, his head lowered as he walked. Even cats who didn’t actually know about the incident could probably tell from his demeanour that something was wrong. Soon enough everyone would know.

Fadingstar had been looking much better lately, and by now was fully fit and firing. It was nice to see, made Splashleap feel more like Riverclan could take on whatever would be thrown at them when they returned fully to their own territory. She knew patrols had been sent out to mark the borders, but the bulk of the clan had been constrained to the old twoleg done for....longer than she liked. She just wanted to fish and swim again, damn it! Hopefully this would be good news to that end, and she was in the crowd with an eager look in her eyes. (open)

Another meeting so soon? It felt like the moment the stepped paw back home. Fadingstar seemed to be much strong which meant he was better! Good. That traitor didn't even leave a mark. As aspenpaw neared the gathered crowd he spotted a few of his friends. Cats he could easily go sit with but that would be boring. He wanted a new interaction! To meet one of his other clanmates. Eyes sifting through the crowd he spotted the tom. A fellow apprentice!
Aspenpaw weaved through the crowd to the very front ,where Smolderpaw had chosen to sit, and sat down. Aspenpaw wasn't exactly sure how to start a conversation so instead he decided to leave it until fadingstar said something. Then maybe aspen would have something to say to his denmate. For now he just smiled a silent greeting.

Frustrated. That was a good way to describe how the deputy was feeling right now as she stalked over to a spot near the back. There had been so much that happened - Elderkit's death by hawk, Duskleaf revealing where they were living. Each moment they spent here was dangerous now, which is why she didn't take her normal place at the front. No, the deputy chose a spot in the back of the crowd so she cold not only watch over her Clanmates, but be the first point of defense between them and the den entrance should Twilightstar and WindClan decide they weren't quite done with them yet. A small part of her knew that the leader was honorable, but the larger part of her - the part that ached along with her scar - far overshadowed it, at least right now.
She turned her gaze up towards Fades as he sat and addressed the Clan, wrapping her tail over her paws. She knew at least one thing coming this meeting was addressing Duskleaf's mistake, but the rest was a mystery to her. She just hoped that this would be the last meeting at this den.
