Wormbite's ear flickered in annoyance as Garlicfish went ahead of him and reported to Duskleaf. He appreciated the eagerness - they were indeed coming in a bit later than he preferred but typically the leader was to report. He limped towards them both, staying silent as he waited for the warrior to finish.

"... Apologizess for coming back later then expected however we did finissh completely, " Wormbite corrected, gaze flickering to look in Garlicfish's direction with a small smidge of confusion. Perhaps a perfectionist, but strange nonetheless. "The only thing to note iss there were disstant remnants from the other clans unssurprisingly but nothing recent, " He finished.

Plumshade sat down cleaning her long black fur thinking about the meeting and more, she didn't know how to feel about she was sad to see mistyshard step down but was glad that she was going to be a mother. Plum still remeberd when she was a queen her single kit appleheart, the sweetest kit she ever knew besides her mate stormsurge oh how she missed them both so badly.Plum wished apple was okay where ever he was, the warrior missed her son after he ran away from Riverclan after thunderclan raided them, half of her knew since apple ran off he may never return but she hoped he did. The warrior sighed as she got up to get some prey a large mouse was in the pile she debated if she should eat it or not, no more cats needed more food then her so she grabbed a squirrel instead the warrior padded back to her spot and placed the Squirrel down "Thank yo Starclan for this prey" she wisperd before she started to eat.

Making his way to stand at the entrance to the old abandoned twoleg den, Duskleaf turned to look towards the territory. Even if for the moment RiverClan weren’t going to back to stay in their old camp, if they didn’t at least mark the borders again, perhaps the other clans wouldn’t realise they’d returned? And if the other clans didn’t know, they could potentially still be on RiverClan territory. That thought was perhaps the most infuriating thing, the idea of these strange cats, no, enemy cats in RiverClan's home. If anything, he really just wanted to make sure they knew now it was time to leave.

"Right, I'll be sendin' patrols to reclaim our territory, landmarks and borders and the like!" Duskleaf shouted, his eyes scanning the nearby area to see who to call. "This is important, so if I call your name, I need you to show up as quickly as possible."

IMPORTANT: BORDER AND TERRITORY PATROLS

"Owltalon ( @Marigoldwhisper , you’ve got two here but I didn’t want to ping twice), please take Larkwing ( @Neptune. ) and Irisfrost ( @kittycatburmise ) to Smallpines to remark the border, thanks." Since this was the first round of patrols, he decided to send a Lionheart on each one.

"Seabreeze ( @Oliver ), please take Hollytail ( @Snowyfeathr ) and Adderstrike ( @Fish ) to remark the border over at Sedgewater Valley, thanks!"

"Caveclaw ( @Idiotic.Bean101 , you've got two as well but I didn’t want to double ping), please take Falconflight ( @Morrigan ) and Willowtail ( @ChromeSilver_Hwaa ) o'er to Saltmeadow Marsh, thanks!"

Right, with the borders dealt with, he could now focus on taking back the landmarks in RiverClan territory.

"Brokenstream ( @TanghuluCat , you've got two as well but I again didn’t want to double ping), please take Pebblesplash ( @Dakotaa ) and Floodsight ( @goodacacia ) to Lionsbeach and remark that too, thanks."

"Heroneye ( @Fits ), could you take Wisteriawren ( @Rose ) and Sunsetgleam ( @Minkuu ) to remark Sleepy Thicket? Thanks."

"Goldfish ( @Blaaze ), could you take Mudsmoke ( @burntToast ) and Deerspark ( @/Marigoldwhisper ) o'er to Haven Springs and remark there? Thanks."

"Riftpaw ( @/TanghuluCat ) and Beaverpaw ( @/Idiotic.Bean101 ), you can come with me to Rugged Range." Duskleaf hadn’t really been wanting to send apprentices on these patrols, but he figured it should be fine if he took his apprentices to Rugged Range since it was a decent bit out the way of everything.

"Lastly, Wormbite ( @wolfie ), if you don’t mind taking Rowanmane ( @Rowan ) and Garlicfish ( @HerbalTea ) around the Territory and leaving scent markers in different places? Thanks." He'd ran out of Lionhearts to lead the patrols, but Wormbite seemed a capable cat to do the job, after all he had been Head Lionheart in the past. (For this one, each patrol member should make TWO posts of leaving scent markers in the Territory)

"Right, that's everything. If there’s any bother, come see me about it."

Adderstrike was happy to have done a service for her clan. Again. Finally she was coming back to the nest to have a rest after walking for such a long time. Seemed like she was ahead of the other two but that was alright she hoped that Seabreeze wouldn't mind too much. "Hey Duskleaf, we are back from the border patrol.. Seems I got ahead of the others but they should be here soon!" She said with a happy wave of her tail

So, the patrols were reporting in now. Duskleaf decided to sit exactly where he’d sat when announcing the patrols so that he'd be easy to find, and it wasn’t long until the patrols started to return. He dipped his head in greeting as Owltalon approached.

"Otters?! Oh now that can’t be good news…" He said. "I'll have a look into that, anyway, good job, and thank you!"

The next to report was Heroneye, and Duskleaf really was not expecting what she was about to say. The patrol had encountered a ghost? A ghost that didn’t make any sense? He was starting to think maybe he shouldn’t have let Softpaw go to Sleepy Thicket now that he knew what had happened there. He had of course heard stories of Hawkstar lurking around Sleepy Thicket, which he wasn’t entirely sure whether or not to believe…but a different ghost? That wasn’t what he was expecting at all.

"I am still dead, and murder is not fine…?" Duskleaf repeated the words Heroneye had repeated from Minkpaw's ghost. For a moment he tried to consider a few possible explanations, was it possible she was murdered? Or was that a warning for something else? "I don't think I remember Minkpaw at all…was it possible that she was murdered?" But Duskleaf considered for a moment that if he was ever murdered and had the chance to come back as a ghost and speak to living cats, then he’d definitely give all the details while he had the chance. The speaking in riddles bit was what he found so strange.

Then from the next report, the first cat that Duskleaf spotted was Garlicfish who very briefly summed up how the patrol went. Before Duskleaf could respond, Wormbite then gave a slightly longer report. "Right, that's good, as long's they haven’t been there for a while then we're fine. Well done and thanks for doing that." He said, giving a friendly nod to both cats.

The next cat to arrive back was Adderstrike. Before she even said anything, Duskleaf could tell she was in a good mood, which must mean everything went well on the patrol then, right? "Great, I take it everything went alright then?"

Primrosepaw let out a playful laugh as Seakit’s tiny paw tapped her head. “Oh no! You got me!” she exclaimed, pretending to stagger slightly from the “blow.”

She took a moment to admire Seakit’s attempt to look bigger, finding the kit’s determination both adorable and impressive. “You’re a fierce little intruder, aren’t you?” Primrosepaw teased gently, her emerald eyes sparkling with amusement.

“Looks like I’ll have to be extra careful around you!” she added with a grin, playfully swiping her paw in the air near Seakit, making sure to keep it light and fun. “But don’t think I’ll give up that easily — I’m ready for round two!”

She then looked around as she tried to think about what else she might needed to say. No. Nothing was really coming to her mind. "With that I'm going to go. See ya Duskleaf! Call me if the clan needs someone to help!" With that the workaholic walked off.

A soft chuckle escaped her as she walked over to them and sat down, giving enough distance for the play fight. She wasn't sure what the game was since she joined in the middle of it but she was cheering for her apprentice to win! "Go get'em Primrosepaw! Show 'em what you got!" Adderstrike laughed softly.
