He covered his ears with his paws and shook his head once again, he just hoped the warrior didnt notice his scared actions. "Yeah im alright, are you?" he said in a gentle but scared tone to the warrior he was buried into. "Gutspaw made the story so scary, im only 2 moons!" he wished hawkbite would be the one he could open up to, and actually be able to trust someone.
The Commander would wrap his paw around the small kitten and hold him a tad closer in his fur. "It's just a story, though. I promise," Hawkbite spoke, glancing upwards at Gutspaw to see if it were going to continue on with another story or open it up to anyone else. "Two moons, though?! That's crazy! You'll be an apprentice so soon!" Hawkbite mused, trying to lighten the subject, trying to distract him from the story.

ׂ╰┈➤cream paws touched him, giving him a comforting feel, like the parent he never had, he purred slightly, trying to say that he liked it. His blue eyes shined with excitement at the sound of the word apprentice. He looked up at hawkbite. "And your going to mentor me!" he said with a hopeful look on his tiny little face, he curled up into a ball, rubbing his head with his paws.
Then he felt it. Another episode coming. And this time. He couldnt stop it.
YOU WILL NEVER BE AN APPRENTICE YOU KNOW THAT! NO ONE BELEIVES IN YOU DUMB ASS! WHATEVER THEY SAY TO YOU IS ALL LIES LIES LIES LIES! DONT BELEIVE IT KID. DONT GET YOUR DAMN HOPES UP. The voice boomed in his head, he tried to make it go away but there was no hope in stopping it by now. He didnt show his discomfort to hawkbite though. The voices always told him to keep it a secret. Their little secret.
He rubbed his face with his paws and let a little grin light up on his tiny face and he looked back at hawkbite. He grinned happily at him. "I'm going to be the best warrior if your my mentor! I will be better than dawniestar!" he said dawnstar's name wrong, but it was because he was very excited!
Nightpaw had hesitated going to an event that he thought was for kits, it was a fellow apprentice telling scary stories for kits. As much as it interested him, it was for kits. So he hung around nearby, pretending he wasn't listening when in fact he was. And the story was good, that's what convinced him to come over and sit down. A nice bit of horror stories, perfect entertainment!
